A novel method is proposed for efficient vehicle model identification. Considering logo recognition vital, the method begins with the development of an algorithm based on image gradients for initial or coarse positioning of vehicle logo, then proceeds to blur detection, pixelization and Sobel algorithm for fine positioning of logo, and determines process via a SVM classifier based on DCT low-frequency characteristics. Local image on logo's left is chosen as ROI, its low-frequency characteristics are extracted and then fed to a SVM classifier. A dataset of 1096 front and side images were collected from 12 vehicle models entering a highway inspection station. Experiments show that average vehicle model recognition accuracy is 97% within 30ms recognition timespan. © 2013 IEEE.

Affected by the intersection of two regional faults and a water-resistant rock wall induced by magmatic intrusion, various unfavorable geological bodies may exist in front of the working face at FK18+330 on the left line of the Lingjiao tunnel. In light of these complicated geological conditions, a macroscopic tunnel geological prediction was first conducted on the basis of geological analysis, and then an in-situ geological detection was conducted inside and outside of the tunnel by the following methods respectively: land sonar+transient electromagnetic+geological radar and land sonar+differential electrical sounding+transient electromagnetic. Additionally, a comprehensive analysis and prediction was carried out, with the in-situ excavation results showing that the above comprehensive prediction method can effectively reduce the error of in-situ geophysical prospecting in the tunnel's axial and transverse directions as well as precisely determine the location, size and type of the unfavorable geological bodies in front of the tunnel face under complicated geological conditions. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". Doped fly ash with lime as a binder, can be used to stabilize the crushed stone, sand and gravel, as well as other types of aggregate formation of two gray gravel, two gray gravel and lime soil or other structure used as a road pavement base or sub-base, in order to to verify the effect of the high activity of fly ash in the actual project, taking into account two gray macadam base and cement fly ash macadam base for semi-rigid base type commonly used in the early construction of the highway in Guangxi, the ash proportion indoor test range, and ultimately determine the best ratio. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Through research on precast assembling structural design and construction technology in cement concrete pavement maintenance engineering, this paper brings forward reasonable size for precast assembling slab in cement concrete pavement maintenance engineering to improve original precast assembling construction technology and brings forward effective improvement measures for original construction technical difficulties. Recently, with the development of urban road net and the shortage of land resources, underground expressway has a rapid development, but the associated research of traffic safety is lagging. The traffic flow data and method of mathematical statistics is used to analyze the difference of vehicles running index such as speed, space headway and lateral movement in underground expressway comparing to such things in expressway above the ground. It also indicates the possible impact on the safe operation of the underground expressway caused by these differences, and gives some suggestions on the improvement of the underground highway safety from the point of safety of vehicle operation. © ASCE.

For expressway cement concrete pavement bottom existing void problems, the paper introduced the method of chemical grouting treatment according to the analysis of the causes of the disease began. According to grouting material, devices selection, construction procedure, quality inspection, treatment effect, and the problems existing in the project and so on, this paper summarized treatment experience. The results showed that treating hole under Concrete Pavement with Chemical grouting method can improve pavement usefulness obviously. © 2012 IEEE.

The invention relates to mix composition determination method of coarse graded high modulus asphalt concrete with skeleton embedded structure, which belongs to the road engineering design field. The invention use low labeled hard asphalt AH-30# with penetration degree no greater than 30 (0.1 mm); the nominal maximum aggregate size no smaller than 26.5 mm; building mineral aggregate gradation of the mix by the idea of course aggregate gap gradation; using gradation design method of asphalt mixture based on closest compact condition to select the optimal oil-stone ratio. The concrete invented is technology reliable and economy reasonable which has good anti-deformation capacity and carrying capacity, and the high temperature stability is obviously improved, at the same time the mechanics performance of the asphalt mixture is improved, the strength of this new asphalt mixture is more than 50% higher than that of common asphalt mixture, its dynamic complex modulus is 30% higher than that of similar foreign products, which has very excellent road performance.

The invention involves a method to structure mineral aggregate gradation by using three control points & two curves, including the following steps: (1) Three control points are determined according to the property of the mixtures: nominal maximum size of aggregate and its passing rate, nominal minimum size of aggregate and its passing rate, and the discontinuity point between the coarse aggregate and the fine aggregate and its passing rate. (2) The grading curves of the coarse and the fine aggregate are selected respectively with Power function model, Exponential function model and Logarithmic function model. (3) Measure the stamped density and the stamped voids in mineral aggregate, and then choose the grading of the coarse and the fine aggregate on the basis of the project need. The invention can help constitute different gradation curves in line with local materials from different areas and sources. In this way can the mineral aggregates property give the full play to the mixtures, and its a good guide to the mix proportion of the asphalt mixture.

An auxiliary member for pavement construction, including: a cylinder, a base plate and a leveling bolt; the cylinder includes a first cylinder part and a second cylinder part which are connected and communicated with each other, the first cylinder part is provided with a sling installing member and a slurry inlet, bottom of the second cylinder part is connected with the base plate, the base plate is provided with a bolt extending hole and multiple slurry discharging holes which are communicated with the inner cavity of the second cylinder part, the leveling bolt includes a bolt head and a screw, the screw extends through the bolt extending hole, the bolt head is arranged in the second cylinder part and the bolt head is smaller than the inner diameter of the second cylinder part. The present invention further provides a concrete slab and a method for pavement construction.
