Using ionic liquid 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (AmimCl)as reaction media, microcrystalline cellulose as raw material, the kinetics of homogeneous acylation of cellulose in ionic liquid was studied. The effect of initial cellulose hydroxyl concentration from 0.21 mol·L-1 to 0.85 mol·L-1 and temperatures from 353 K to 373 K on the acylation rate were measured. Results showed that the acylation rate increases with increasing initial cellulose hydroxyl concentration and reaction temperatures. The reaction kinetic equations were determined based on the experimental data. The reaction order for both acylation by acetic anhydride and by mixture of butyric anhydride and acetic anhydride is first-order, and their apparent activation energies are 19.03 kJ·mol-1 and 20.04 kJ·mol-1 respectively. © All Rights Reserved. Molecular distillation was used to separate polymethylene polyphenyl polyisocyanate (PMPPI) from PMPPI-chlorobenzene pyrolysis liquid via orthogonal experiments using an OA25 (45) design, the optimal separation conditions of the simulated PMPPI-chlorobenzene solution were determined as feed flow rate 2 mL/min, distillation temperature 100℃, wiper rotating speed 120 r/min and distillation pressure 4.0 kPa. Under the optimal conditions, the purity of PMPPI reached as high as 99.65%. Finally, the real PMPPI-chlorobenzene pyrolysis liquid was separated using the above optimal conditions, chlorobenzene could not be detected in the final product with HPLC analysis, indicating that the purity of PMPPI approached to 100%. Vanadium oxide supported on MSU-1, with VOx loading ranging from 2.5 to 17.5 wt. %, was developed as a highly active catalyst in dehydrogenation of isobutane with CO2. The obtained catalysts of VOx/MSU-1 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2adsorption-desorption, and H2-temperature programmed reduction (H2-TPR) methods and the results showed that the large surface area of MSU-1 was favorable for the dispersion of VOx species and the optimal loading of VOxwas 12.0 wt. %. Meanwhile, the catalytic activity of VOx/MSU-1 was investigated, and VOx/MSU-1 with 12.0 wt. % VOx content was found to be the best one, with the conversion of isobutane (58.8%) and the selectivity of isobutene (78.5%) under the optimal reaction conditions. In contrast with the reaction in the absence of CO2, the presence of CO2 in the reaction stream could obviously enhance the isobutane dehydrogenation, which raised the conversion of reaction and the stability of VOx/MSU-1. © 2016 by the authors; licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland. Molecular distillation was used to recover ionic liquid (IL) 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (AmimCl) in homogeneous cellulose acetylation. The five factors that affect the separation efficiency of molecular distillation, namely, feed flow rate, distillation temperature, feed temperature, wiper rotating speed, and distillation pressure, are discussed. The optimal recovery condition was determined via orthogonal experiments using an OA9(34) design. The IL was recycled and reused 5 times in the homogeneous cellulose acetylation system under optimal conditions. The purity of recycled IL the 5th time reached 99.56%. FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy) and 1H NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy showed that the structure of the recovered IL is not changed. This work proves that AmimCl has excellent reusability, and that molecular distillation is an effective method for recovering IL in homogeneous cellulose acetylation. © 2013 Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC) and Chemical Industry Press (CIP). The leaching behaviors of heavy metals in electric furnace refining slag were studied by total dissolving, short-term and long-term leaching experiments, and the leaching mechanism was analyzed by SEM and XRD. The results show that in the slag, the concentration of Ba from short-term leaching is higher than the discharge standard of wastewater containing heavy metal, and the concentrations of Ni from short-term leaching and V from long-term leaching are higher than the hygiene standard of domestic and drinking water. Leaching of heavy metals is mainly due to the structural damage of Ca2SiO4·H2O (C-S-H) in the slag. ©, 2015, Science Press. All right reserved. Source
