In order to study the characteristics of nitrogen supply of three main tobacco planting soil types (muddy sand soil,"cow liver"soil and purple soil) in Nanxiong and the nitrogen absorption by flue-cured tobacco grown in these soils, field experiments were conducted to study the characteristics of soil nitrogen mineralization and the effects on nitrogen absorption and accumulation in tobacco plants. The results showed that: 1) During the period of tobacco growth, the amount of soil nitrogen mineralization increased continuously, the total mineralization levels were 360.27, 327.50 and 277.82 kg·ha-1 in muddy sand soil,"cow liver"soil and purple soil, respectively. The percentage of nitrogen mineralization at tobacco mature stage was above 60%. 2) The nitrogen accumulation in tobacco generally displayed a "slow-fast-slow"curve, nitrogen accumulation peaked in 45-60 days after transplant with the total accumulation reached 5.36, 4.81 and 4.19 gN·plant-1 in the three soil types, respectively. 3) Nitrogen utilization was 34.04%, 33.11% and 30.53% in the three soil types, respectively. Therefore, to improve the utilization efficiency of nitrogen fertilizers and avoid excessive nitrogen supply at late growth stage, advancing nitrogen application time, reducing application rate and increasing application times were recommended in tobacco production. © 2016, Editorial Office of Tobacco Science and Technology. Potential predacious ability, functional response and searching rate of H. fuscipes on Myzus persicae in lab were analyzed. Effects of intraspecific density and different spatial conditions on predation of H. fuscipes were studied. Result showed that the predacious functional response of H. fuscipes fitted to Holling II equation. The functional responses could be clearly described with such equation as Na=1.1153Nt/(1+0.0164Nt), and the maximum potential predacious ability of H. fuscipes on tobacco aphis was calculated as 194.89 individuals/day female. Predacious efficiency was reduced with increased mutual interference between individual predators. Predation ration (E) of predator decreased with the increase of H. fuscipes density. Space heterogeneity had great effects on predation, i. e. predation rate of predator decreased as environmental obstruction became stronger. ©, 2015, State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau and China Tobacco Society. Life table characteristics of reduviid Harpactor fuscipes (Fabricius) were studied when preying on Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Spodoptera litura (Fab.) with tobacco as host plant. Feasibility of artificial rearing of Harpactor fuscipes was evaluated. Age specific and fecundity specific life table were constructed. The following population parmeters were obtained: cumulative survival rate of immature (∏ Si) on M. persicae and S. litura of 0.67 and 0.74, generation duration (T) of 84.6096d and 81.0113d, index of population trend (I) of 26.0075 and 29.6275, net reproductive rate of 24.7964 and 30.8949, innate capacity of population increase of 0.0379 and 0.0424, finite rate of increase of 1.0386 and 1.0433, and doubling time of 17.42d and 15.19d respectively. Results show that predator H. fuscipes develops well in aphid M. persicae or in tobacco armyworm S. litura, both are important pests in tobacco.

A 6×6 diallel cross of six tobacco varieties with different resistance to bacterial wilt (Ralstonia solanacarum) was made. Genetic analysis was conducted by Griffing-I and Hayman' s method. Inheritance of resistance to bacterial wilt in tobacco in PI, P2, F1 and F2 from the cross Dayemihe (resistant, Chinese domestic variety) × Changbohuang (susceptible, Chinese domestic variety) was investigated by the mixed major gene plus polygene inheritance model of quantitative traits. Results indicated that the resistance to bacterial wilt in tobacco was controlled by nucleolus inheritance. The resistant genes parents were different. Resistance of the cross Dayemihe × Changbohuang was controlled by two adding-dominance-epistatic major genes plus adding-dominance polygene model. Effect of 2 main genes on addition and domination was 0.5013, -0.3023 and 1.6439, 0.8401 respectively while that of polygene was -1.3989 and -1.7798. Enterprise culture has always been a hot research topic especially in a time when enterprise management is entering a new stage. However, insufficient research has been done on tobacco enterprise culture construction with strategic perspective. Misunderstandings of tobacco enterprise culture construction without consideration of strategy are analyzed in detail. A framework reflecting relationship between tobacco enterprise culture and its strategy is established, under the guidance of the Top Two Principles. Policy suggestions are proposed.

A new variety of flue-cured tobacco Yueyan98 was developed though selfing, pedigree breeding, backcross polymerization, and again pedigree breeding of the F1 hybrid variety cultivated by Coker206 as female parent and K326 as male parent. The new variety was characterized by uniform and strong growth, better plant type, strong adaptability, steady genetic character, good maturity, loose leaf structure, proper vane thickness, rich oil, coordinated internal chemical composition, good smoking aroma quality, and sufficient aroma quantity. Resistance to black shank, bacterial wilt, root knot nematode disease and the infection with TMV and CMV was moderate, while infection by brown spot was found. Yield, average price, output value, high quality ratio, and high or middle quality ratio were higher or significantly higher than those of K326. Leaf was characterized by strong flavor.
