The coastal dune systems in the Balearic Islands have suffered substantial physiognomic changes over the last decades, mainly as a result of human pressure on the coastal strip. However, this pressure has been asymmetric, not only from a temporal point of view, but also from the perspective of space. This paper aims to establish a physical and geomorphological characterization of beach-dune system of es Comú d'Alcudia, inserted within the Natural Park of s'Albufera, and that within a context of coastal artficialización, today stands as a "natural" system despite pressure from the towns of Can Picafort and Platges de Muro. In this sense, it has been carried out beach profiles along one year in order to understand the dynamics of the beach on an annual scale, and establish the differences between the behavior of an urban beach (Can Picafort) and a natural beach (es Comú). In addition, is performed an analysis of the conservation status of the first line of dunes trough the study of 58 erosive forms blowout considering geomorphological and ecological parameters. Finally, is assessed the conservation status of forest of P.halepensis associated with the line of stabilized dunes, taking into account the anthropogenic pressure sustained over the last centuries.
