Image Enhancement is one of the most important concerns in Digital Image processing which is used to process the image so that we can view and assess the visual information it contains with greater clarity. In this Work a 2-step Image De-noising and Enhancement Algorithm is proposed i.e. the application of Improved Median Filter and Morphological Operations. In the First step Image is enhanced using a 3x3 neighborhood window processing and then using Morphological Operations to further enhance it. Our Method can remove salt-and-pepper-noise with noise level as high as 80%. © 2012 ICST Institute for Computer Science, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Water is one of the major commodities used by the pharmaceutical industry. It may be present as an excipient or used for reconstitution of products during synthesis, during production of the finished product or as cleaning agent for rinsing vessels, equipment, primary packaging materials etc. Once water for pharmaceutical use has been obtained, it must be stored and distributed to the points of use; there is no point in producing quality water unless it is correctly stored and distributed. This stage is of vital importance to minimize possible contamination of the water and the proliferation of micro-organisms. Systems must be sealed with continuous recirculation and must have a sanitization system. In this work the first stage is to automate the water storage & distribution for various requirements and control the level in the storage tank and monitoring[2] the pH, conductivity, temperature before distribution which is very important as any small change in these parameters may hinder the performance of the whole pharmaceutical plant. The next stage of the work is to control the flow rate of the water in the distribution line and then water is given to the U-V Treatment to minimize contamination and micro-organisms. The water is then distributed for continuous recirculation. In this process the PLC of ALLEN BRADLEY MICROLOGIX 1200 make that comes with inbuilt 24 digital inputs which accepts 24V DC and provides 16 potential free outputs with 4 channel analogue input module is used to control the miniaturized process depicted in this project. RS logic 500 of professional addition 8.10 addition version software is used for programming the PLC and vijeo designer software for SCADA. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper the concept of Visual Secret Sharing and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), are used to split the watermark into two random binary images called shares. One share is generated during watermark embedding phase and is kept secret with an arbitrator. The other share can be extracted from the controversial image whenever needed. Both the shares can be combined to decode the original watermark. The proposed scheme aims at reducing the size of shares, improving the quality of extracted watermark, and decreasing the probability of false positives. Hence it offers better security when compared to the related schemes. The simulation results reveal that the proposed scheme is robust to several image processing attacks. © 2012 IEEE.

This paper presents a new algorithm based on differential evaluation, adaptable crossover using Triangular distribution factor and Shuffled complex evolution with Principal component analysis namely DE-TCR-SP-UCI for the solution of Unit Commitment-Economic Load Dispatch problem. The salient features of the proposed algorithm are: (1) An adaptable crossover using triangular distribution factor is included. Hence, the algorithm is able to interlink the cross over probability in conjunction with the non-separable and decision variable dependency of UC problems. (2) A local search in each chromosome of algorithm using Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) is performed. This approach has proved in improving the performance of the classical DE algorithm (3) The SP-UCI algorithm solves the problem of population degeneration. (4) The SP-UCI algorithm also combines the strength of shuffled complex, the Nelder-Mead simplex and multi-normal re-sampling to achieve efficient and effective high-dimensional optimization. (5) By representing the chromosome intelligently, the chromosome length and population size is reduced. The proposed algorithm is tested with standard 4 units, 8hour and standard 10 units, 24 hour test systems. Results indicate that the proposed method finds better optimal solution when compared to the conventional known methods reported in the literature. © 2013 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

This paper proposes Unit Commitment solution based on the Shuffled complex evolution with Principal component analysis algorithm-University of California at Irvine. The features of the proposed algorithm are: It solves the problem of population degeneration. It combines the strength of shuffled complex, the Nelder-Mead simplex and multi-normal resampling to achieve efficient optimization. By representing the chromosome intelligently, the chromosome length and population size is reduced. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is tested on standard 10, 40, 80 and 100 units, 24 hour power system. Simulation results obtained illustrate that the proposed algorithm can produce global optimal solution compared to that of other reported methods. © 2014 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

Simple, specific, accurate and precise UV-visible spectrophotometric methods have been developed for the estimation of five drugs viz., Amlodepine besylate, Esmolol hydrochloride, Olmesartan medoxomil, Phenyl ephrine hydrochloride and Tramadol hydrochloride. These methods involve the addition of a known excess of NBS to the drugs in acid medium followed by estimation of residual NBS by reacting with a fixed amount of Amaranth and measuring the absorbance of the dye at 520nm. The proposed methods were found to be successful for the estimation of these drugs in bulk and their formulations. The results of analysis have been validated statistically for linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD and LOQ.

This paper proposes a model for lexicon which can be effectively used in language modelling and other NLP related tasks for agglutinative, highly inflecting and compounding languages. Due to huge amount of distinct word forms, the traditional methods based on full words are not very effective and it is not straight forward to train efficient language models with good coverage of the language. The main contribution of the paper is the proposal of new data structure and an algorithm that is applied over the data structure. This approach greatly reduces the corpus size thereby making the research work in the field easy. The use of the new data structure fastens the search process. © 2010 IEEE.

As the technology advances the human needs do grow towards comfort. VMAIL- Voice Enabled Mail Reader, system developed for person who requires comfort and is essential for a person with disability. The speech synthesis embedded in VMAIL system can read aloud any written text, avoiding eye strain and save time, reading on the computer. This is a web based system developed using HTML and java. It can be employed as an aid for the people who suffer with visual impairment. It helps us to convert written Telugu text to audio files and play them. The user can receive, compose and send a mail to another VMAIL user. A VMAIL user has an added benefit over other email systems because it provides an option for the user to read his mails aloud that are in their native language, reducing his strain. It has easy-to-use, user-friendly interface with readable buttons and most functions can be performed with a simple mouse click or menu selection. © 2010 IEEE.

Liver imaging using abdominal CT images has been widely studied in the recent years and is a challenging task. Processing CT image includes the automatic diagnosis of liver and lesions part. Because of the high intensity similarity between liver tissues and nearby organs of liver it is difficult to segment liver and tumor. Segmentation of extracted region as an imaging biomarker forms an essential component of "Radiomics". This paper presents automatic liver tumor segmentation from abdominal CT scan images. A statistical parameter-based approach is used to distinguish liver tumor tissue from other abdominal organs. The existing segmentation methods such as region growing and intensity based thresholding methods are investigated. First, the CT images are preprocessed by filtering to remove noise from the image. Then the statistical mean-based thresholding is applied to extract the tumor. After applying median filtering, isodata threshold is used to turn the image into binary with tumors as black spots on white background. Finally postprocessing as filtering techniques like mean filter and median filter and morphological operations are performed to remove residues. This paper highlights liver tumor segmentation analysis which has the potential as a imaging biomarker for "Personalised cancer imaging". © 2016 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

With the advancements in computational linguistic processing, the paper work is replaced by documents in the form of soft copies. Though there are many software and keyboards available to produce such documents, the accuracy is not always acceptable. The chance of getting errors is more. This paper proposes a model which can be used to correct spellings of Indian languages in general and Telugu in particular. This paper also discusses the experimental setup and results of implementation. There are few spell checkers and correctors which were developed earlier. The spelling corrector proposed in this paper is different from that in terms of the approach used. Main claim of the paper is implementation of the correction algorithm and proposal of architecture. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
