Localization is very challenging issue in Wireless Sensor Networks. Since the location of sensor nodes in the wild are easily affected by the various interfering factors. Location is most important information that is needed in many applications of wireless sensor networks. This paper presents Leader Based CDL that modifies the combined and differentiated localization approach to achieve a better ranging quality. It includes virtual hop localization, local filtration by forming groups and ranging quality aware calibration by electing leaders which have the highest energy (Received Signal Strength). This gives better location accuracy than CDL. © Research India Publications. Source
