It is success to use high-precision magnetic survey to explore indirectly metal ore deposits for golden and capper. The survey method was also used to explore lead zinc ore in Genjiazhai ore field indirectly. Magnetic anomalies were measured because the magnetism difference existing between altered rock and its wall rocks near the fracture. After multiple decomposition of magnetic anomaly was completed, the positions of the fractures were interpreted. Then two new lead zinc veins were interpreted near the fracture by analyzing the characteristic of magnetic anomaly. They were verified after makinganon-the-spotsurvey.
