Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Compound Sophorae Injection combined with chemotherapeutic drugs on colon cancer. Methods: From Jan 2008 to Aug 2010, 52 patients with colon cancer were randomly divided into two groups. They were treated with FOLFOX7 chemotherapy alone (control) or combined with Compound Sophorae Injection. Near-term efficacy, survival quality, and changes in immunologic function, liver function and leukocytes were observed. Results: The near-term efficacy and survival quality in combination group were superior to those in control group, and the damage of liver function and depression of leukocytes were lower than those in control group.compared with control group, IL-2 level was higher (P<0.01) and IL-10 level was lower (P<0.01) in combination group. Conclusion: Compound Sophorae Injection combined with chemotherapeutic drugs has a better near-term efficacy, and improves patients' survival quality, liver function damage, leukocyte depression and immunologic function.
