A device, method and system provide a wellness management process and/or an exercise management process for use with a smartphone or other mobile computing device. Various data about the user is obtained and used for determining and recommending an action or exercise to the user to improve the users wellness/physique/health. The action determined can be based on: (1) current biometric and/or motion data about the user (from the sensors), and (2) current physical condition(s), such as health/medical information or condition about the user (from the users personal information, e.g., health library or programmed into the smartphone). Specific information about the user is taken into consideration when recommending user action or exercise, such as the users specific physical, health or medical conditions.

In an embodiment, a method in a communication controller for adaptive pilot allocation includes determining at least one channel condition parameter for a wireless channel between the communications controller and a user equipment (UE). The method includes selecting a microframe pilot pattern to use for subsequent communications on the wireless channel according to the at least one channel condition parameter. Additionally, the method includes signaling an indication of the selected microframe pilot pattern to the user equipment. The method further includes transmitting data to the UE using the selected microframe pilot pattern.

Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for transitioning a system from a tradition network to a Software Defined Network (SDN) enabled network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods may comprise the use of a Path Computation Element (PCE) as a central controller. Smooth transition between traditional network and the new SDN enabled network, especially from a cost impact assessment perspective, may be accomplished using the existing PCE components from the current network to function as the central controller of the SDN network is one choice, which not only achieves the goal of having a centralized controller to provide the functionalities needed for the central controller, but also leverages the existing PCE network components.
