We have experimentally developed a hybrid-structure multi-channel all-fiber current sensor with ordinary silica fiber using fiber loop architecture. According to the rationale of time division multiplexing, the sensor combines parallel and serial structures. The purpose of the hybrid-structure multi-channel all-fiber current sensor is to get more information from the different measured points simultaneously. In addition, the hybrid-structure fiber current sensor exhibited a good linear response for each channel. A three-channel experiment was performed in the study and showed that the system could detect different current positions. Each channel could individually detect the current and needed a separate calibration system. Furthermore, the three channels will not affect each other. © 2017 by the authors. In this paper, we demonstrate a novel all-fiber current sensor using ordinary silica fiber and the fiber loop architecture that can be used to improve current sensitivity. In order to improve the efficiency of the sensor and reduce cost, we present a multichannel all-fiber current sensor based on the principle of time-division multiplexing. To illustrate the principle, we show the typical dual-channel all-fiber current sensor in our experiment. It shows that the currents at two different points can be measured simultaneously. In addition, we find by measurement that the dual-channel fiber current sensor has good linear responses dependence of the variation of the degree of polarization â†P on the current intensity I for two channels respectively. Every channel is affected by the current alone, requires a separate calibration. © 2015 SPIE.

Possessing a gradient refractive index (RI), thermally expanded core (TEC) fibers have been studied to be able to improve coupling efficiency of waveguide-fiber or LD-fiber according to the qualitative analysis of geometrical optics. The experiments show that the mode field radius (MFR) expansion of single-mode fiber with highly Germanium-doped (HGD) is more effective than that of conventional single-mode fiber (SMF). The coupling efficiency of a fabricated TEC fiber with HGD can enhance 5%6% compared with that of a conventional-SMF. So the TEC fiber with HGD is a good candidate for the coupling of waveguide-fiber or LD-fiber. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Apodization is a crucial technology for improving the dispersion performance of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). In this paper, we focus on how to select an optimal apodization for chirped fiber Bragg gratings and demonstrate a novel apodization selection method capable of choosing the optimal apodization based on the relationship between the bandwidth change and variation in average group delay ripple (GDR). Compared with current approaches, the novel method can select an optimal apodization profile and parameter for FBGs easily and accurately. Two numerical experiments are used to demonstrate the advantages of this method, one exhibits the different performances of five different apodization profiles, the other evaluates the influence of FBG parameters such as grating length, period, chirp, and index change on the apodization performance. © 2013 Elsevier GmbH.

With the rapid development of today's society, air pollution is becoming one of the hottest topics of humans’ concern. Looking at the daily life, some peoples’ awareness in the dangers of indoor air pollution and household gas safety is not enough, so it may lead to a number of respiratory diseases, or "sub-health" conditions. (Such as influenza, pharyngitis and other diseases) On the other hand, some families, because of a gas leak, has not been timely warning of fires and caused the tragedy. To solve these problems, this work is designed based on low-power microcontroller as the master chip HT32F1765 100LQFP between the various smart sensors and did data exchange with the home environment monitoring system. The HT chip use as the master chip and combined with using Sharp PM2.5 gas sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, gas concentration sensor as gas sensing devices. We use all these sensors as information collection module, to collect the data information of air quality, temperature, humidity and combustible gas concentration in different rooms and different locations. The real-time data acquisition and sensor would be displayed on the touch screen. In addition, the creation of data monitoring hardware devices, as well as match the mobile phone in APP. Our users can log on the APP remotely to view home monitoring information, or to receive alarm information. Thus, adults can safely work outside, avoiding unnecessary worry. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Under the LR-type fuzzy demand, the cost sharing contract with variable ratio and quality control in the two-stage supply chain are researched. In the condition of disaggregation mode without sharing recall cost, the supply chain members make their effort to insufficient investment, however, they try to make complementation in the central supply chain, and the degree of complementation is increasing with the growing of unit recall cost and total defect rate. Through importing cost sharing contract with the variable ratio, it is found that this contract can exert the manufacturers and suppliers to make their effort to choose the complementary effect, and it exists Nash equilibrium in making effort to choose the game between the two sides. When the defect analysis cost is zero, supply chain members are of incentive compatibility under the contract Φ, and the total profit of supply chain equals to the optimal profit in the central mode. The variable allocation proportion analytic solution and the defect rate threshold value are ensured. Verification results show that the invalid cost index and the invalid quality index of the contract Φ are both lower than the cost-sharing contract with the fixed ratio, and the contract Φ is more reasonable and more effective. © 2016, Editorial Office of Control and Decision. This paper deals with the structure of essentially disconnected polyomino graphs. It is proved that for an essentially disconnected polyomino graph, the normal components induced digraph is acyclic and connected. The lower bond for the number of normal components of an essentially disconnected polyomino graph is investigated. According to the disadvantages of the effects that base isolation was limited to high frequency components of seismic wave, smart base isolation system consisting of rolling isolation bearing and magnetorheological damper was applied to structural vibration control. Based on magnetorheological damper employing a Sigmoid model, a semi-acive fuzzy control strategy suitable for smart base isolation was presented. Simulation analysis was carried out to a two-story steel frame structure employing smart base isolation in the action of different kinds and magnitudes of earthquake wave. The results show that smart base isolation system is reliable and effective, and seismic response can be controlled effectively by semi-active fuzzy strategy. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
