This article deals on a remarkable building project for a combined railway/street bridge in Denmark in the 30ies. Top companies of both Danish and German together have made a very good result. In 1934 a ship lift in Niederfinow/Germany starts work. Four years later another similar facility in Rothensee near Magdeburg went into action. Both projects were quite different in their public perceptions all the time although the later is from the point of engineering view very interesting at all. In the middle of the 1930s the southern part of the Berlin circular highway was built and starts working between two accesses at the end of 1938 after a three year building period. At this section a mud collection had to been crossed at Rangsdorf Lake. This was the beginning of an technological breakthrough for a very new building method in Germany, the mud blasting. During construction of the railway track between Berlin and Hannover an Elbe-river crossing near Hämerten was needed in 1870/71. This railway track, also called "Lehrter Bahn", became later famous in the whole Reich. Almost kids knew the "Lehrter Bahnhof". But who only knows Hämerten at all?
