Prospects for using nanomodified coatings with structured inclusions of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to ensure specific requirements to the outer surface of an aircraft, inter alia, for reducing its icing, are discussed. An analytical dependence of the ballistic electrical conduction of a zigzag carbon nanotube on the tube temperature, diameter, and length is obtained. © 2012 by Begell House, Inc.
