The aim of this paper is to show the viability of the facility for production of wood furniture which is the basic range of furniture for yachts, sailboats and catamarans in the individual (custom) or mass-produced for a known customer. The application program for the evaluation of investment projects have simulated three scenarios project implementation based on the actual circumstances. Analysis results of economic and financial terms are very good. This applies primarily to the high liquidity, retained earnings, payback period and other indicators. Otherwise, investment projects closely related to the production of wood furniture for boats have large growth potential and a stable business. Namely, the wood industry realized a surplus with other countries, a small shipbuilding industry is fast-growing industry. A presented investment project has good preconditions for successful business.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the profitability of the establishment of printing house in Croatia (Split). The paper applie an interdisciplinary approach: an engineering approach to the analysis of technical and technological solutions and economic approach to economic-financial analysis. In fact after detailed technical analysis, based upon real circumstances, the evaluation of investment projects has been carried out by a software application. Two scenarios of the project realization, based on the actual circumstances, are simulated. Both scenarios have the same value of the initial investment, the difference between them arises from the edition size. For each scenario, results of the analysis for economic and financial terms are acceptable. This applies primarily to the high liquidity, retained profit, return on investment and other business success indicators. However, the scenario with smaller number of copies has been estimated as more realistic and ultimately inclusive as the better choice for the implementation of concrete projects. Presented investment project has good preconditions for successful business.

The aim of this study has been to determine the energy consumption required to liquefied natural gas from liquid intoa gas at high pressure evaporators at different installments of discharging cargo. This research was conducted for thegas terminal Mina Al Ahmadi Gas Port in Kuwait, and the results were monitored during the discharge in May 2011.The paper describes the functioning of the regasification system. The basic principle of the system for gasificationof tankers to transport liquefied natural gas has been described too. Two ways of discharging the compressed gas(discharge through a high splitter and unloading through the landing buoy) and three different options for vaporizationof liquefied natural gas into high-pressure evaporator (open, combined and closed cycle). The results of this study can be used to compare the energy consumption in the conversion of gas from a liquidto a gaseous state to the other terminals that use the services of ships for transporting liquefied natural gas plantwith integrated gasification, and to analyze the energy consumption of conventional unloading of liquefied naturalgas terminal. The measured data on energy consumption is influenced, or formed by the cost of gas in a designatedarea.During this research, the consumed energy obtained data were only measured in the open cycle because the systemwas limited by sea temperature of around 25°C during May 2011. Future research could be conducted at otherterminals, where they compared the amount of energy consumed for gasification in other areas in other weatherconditions during different seasons.

The aim of this research is the identification and explanation of differences for the three levels of water polo players in some parameters of effectiveness. The sample of variables contains 17 variables, indicators of efficiency; of which 5 are the team efficiency indicators and 12 are indicators of efficiency for individual players. Using the Kruskal-Wallis test and the multiple comparisons of mean ranks for all groups at the significance level of α = 0,05, the hypothesis that there are significant differences between groups of respondents in ten of the seventeen variables of effectiveness was confirmed. There is a reasonable possibility that the differences are caused by the degree of the learned and implemented tactical knowledge, the degree of scoring ability and the best selection for certain roles in the team. The results of this study can be applied to select the teams and players, to select the appropriate match concept and to organize the training process. © 2016, University of Dubronvnik.
