On the basis of laboratory and industrial researches, there was developed the technology of efficient fluxing of agglomeration charge and obtaining of increased strength agglomerate. There was defined the influence of fluxing method on sintering process indices and agglomerate quality. There was obtained an experimental part of agglo flux, which was used during the production of increased strength agglomerate. Usage of lime and agglo flux, together with increasing of agglomerate strength, contributes to increasing of productivity and decreasing of solid fuel consumption during the agglomeration and decreasing of coke consumption in blast-furnace smelting.

In terms of mining and processing of coarse block, abrasive ore at Kachkanarsky Mining-and-Processing Intergated Works, the paper presents the research and the resultant innovative technologies for repair/renewal of worn details and for strengthening of unworn parts of mining and processing equipment. The authors substantiate and discuss: renewal of side walls (edges of discs and surfaces of spindles) of rod mills; pre-strengthening of fabricated inlet and outlet pipes of soil pump 2GrT8000/71 using welding deposit as well as strengthening of gear shaft of reduction gearbox in roller-bit drill SBSH-250 and other machines by means of carbonitration. Scope of the commercial introduction of the technologies is identified, and data on wear resistance of strengthened and non-strengthened details are compared. Based on research and practice at Kachkanarsky MPIW, commercial introduction of the developed technologies has proved their efficiency in higher wear resitance and life extension for heavy duty details of mining and processing equipment. Concentration technology of titanium-magnetite ores of Gusevogorsk deposit in "EVRAZ KGOK" JSC is described in this article along with the basic equipment of plant and obtained final products. Initial ore, containing ~16% of Fetotal, is exposed to crushing, breaking and dry and wet magnetic separation. Iron-vanadium concentrate is the main product of the plant. This concentrate contains 60.4% of Fetotal (for the sintered ore production) and 62% of Fetotal (for the pellets production). Marketable crushed stone is produced from the wet magnetic separation tailings.

This article describes the organization of development of Gusevogorsk deposit. Nowadays, the works are carried out in Glavniy, Zapadniy and Severniy open pits. Mined rock is transported to crushing-and-concentrating plant and external dumps by railway transport. Transportations inside the open pit are carried out by mine dump trucks. 1.85 bln t of ore have been extracted and 270 mln m3 of overburden rocks have been transported for the 50-year period of deposit development.

There are given the results of replacement of double-wire burners by ejection burners on roast machines of OK-228 type. This replacement made it possible to increase theconsumption of high-temperature overflow from the cooling section by 1.30 times, which caused the decreasing of specific consumption of natural gas by 3 m3/t. Introduction of automated system "Granulometr" made it possible to stabilize the pelletization process and remove the human factor influence.

Since 1946, there have been carried out the geological prospecting works at deposits of Kachkanar titanium-magnetite ores group. During the extraction of iron ores of Gusevogorsk deposit, there is carried out the exploitation (core drilling) and advanced (drilling and blasting wells testing) methods of exploitation. Re-exploration of south-western area of Sobstvenno-Kachkanar deposit was carried out for the purpose of conversion of reserves from the C2 category to the C1 category.

Tailing dump of "EVRAZ KGOK" JSC was built according to the project of "Soyuzvodokanalproekt" Institute. This dump has been exploited since 1963. At that time, 786.9 mln m3 of wet magnetic separation tailings has been placed into the tailing dump. Project capacity of existing tailing dump will be exhausted in 6-7 years. Governing body of "EVRAZ KGOK" JSC made a decision about the beginning of works on searching of methods of following tailings storage. For this purpose, the task of development of preliminary feasibility study was given to the Chief Designer of "Mekhanobr Engineering" JSC. In connection with this, the main attention should be given to increasing of safety level and minimization of negative influence onenvironment. Method of preliminary pulp thickening should be put into the basis of the project.

The military-patriotic organization is also developed. The enterprise constantly realizes the charity, promoting to the development of sport and organization structures in Kachkanar. Special attention is given to support of children organizations.
