This paper presents a new compact solution based on dual quaternions for the development of the kinematics of robotics manipulators. The development of a tool to able to observe clearly its correlation with the method the matrices of homogenous transformation derived of the parameters Denavit-Hartenberg. Tools set out to simplify the use of the dual quaternions for the obtaining of the kinematic model of mechanisms of open chain defining the rule of the applied chain these. Finally its application to a pair of cases of study acquires knowledge. © 2011 CEA.

A navigation system for a robot is presented in this work. The Wall-Following problem has become a classic problem of Robotics due to robots have to be able to move through a particular stage. This problem is proposed as a classifying task and it is solved using an associative approach. In particular, we used Morphological Associative Memories as classifier. Three testing methods were applied to validate the performance of our proposal: Leave-One-Out, Hold-Out and K-fold Cross-Validation and the average obtained was of 91.57%, overcoming the neural approach. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

This paper describes the identification by the compound digital filter with two estimators involved in the Kalman filter, the first corresponds to stochastic gradient describing the transition function and the second obtains the innovation process gain through fuzzy logic. The filtering process has time constraints for your response occurring before the reference system changes to another state. The results are formally described throughout the document. Auto-Regressive Moving Averages model was proposed (ARMA (1, 1)) as the reference system. The filtering algorithm was developed in MatLab® software getting the integrated filter operations illustrated with its graphics of convergence and response, concluding with brief an analysis of the results.

A method for diagnosing Parkinson's disease is presented. The proposal is based on associative approach, and we used this method for classifying patients with Parkinson's disease and those who are completely healthy. In particular, Alpha-Beta Bidirectional Associative Memory is used together with the modified Johnson-Möbius codification in order to deal with mixed noise. We use three methods for testing the performance of our method: Leave-One-Out, Hold-Out and K-fold Cross Validation and the average obtained was of 97.17%. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

One of the main problems in electric power network in metropolitan train transportation occurs when a train accelerates and decelerates, which can produce over and under voltage of DC link power supply and an important amount of energy is transferred from and into the DC link. The above mentioned affects the AC rectifier substations power system, producing interruptions of the traffic trains. This paper proposes an analysis by modeling and simulation of a train in order to evaluate the behavior of the DC link voltage supply applied to six stations. The storage kinetic energy of the metropolitan rail trains during accelerations is normally burned in order to avoid DC link perturbation voltage. However this energy can be recovered and used to compensate the DC link voltage variations, which can help to save an important amount of energy and improve the overall performance of the system. So, in this paper is proposed a Voltage Compensation System (VCS) throughout an energy storage system. Finally, an evaluation of the saved energy and a better performance operation of the metropolitan railways can be demonstrated with the results obtained. © 2016 IEEE.

This paper presents parameter estimations considering an observable black box system signal represented with high order finite differences. The model is expressed as a sequence of delayed observable states conforming space state vector to its known associated parameters. The estimation technique is based on pseudo-inverse and an innovation process associated with perturbation and an observable signal. The simulation uses two high order finite difference models, second and third grades with associate parameters. In both cases the observed signal depends on their delayed states. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate two and three parameters with respect to second and third order models, respectively. The estimation results allowed identifying the observable signal with a high convergence rate in base of functional error, as shown in the figures. Instrumental variable is the technique applied to the second probability moment constructing the estimator for a high finite difference order system.

Digital images usually represent a wide range of phenomena. The area of image processing has been developed through the theoretical study of the different transformations manifested in the creation of algorithms that cast real-life problems. This paper establishes the theoretical aspects of linear algebra: linear transformations and related. We present some of the most commonly used transformations on both digital images and their pixel intensity values which are implemented by the use of Matlab software.
