A polyolefin-based composition made from or containing (A) a first polymer composition made from or containing a polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated monomer, (B) a second polymer composition made from or containing a polyethylene, and (C) a third polymer composition made from or containing (i) a first polyisobutylene and (ii) a second polyisobutylene. The first polyisobutylene has a Viscosity Average Molecular Weight (VAMW_(1)), and the second polyisobutylene has a Viscosity Average Molecular Weight (VAMW_(2)), wherein VAMW_(1)VAMW_(2). The polyolefin-based composition is useful as an adhesives or a tie-layer adhesive composition for multi-layered structures. In particular, the composition is useful as an adhesive to bind a metal layer to a dissimilar substrate.

The present disclosure provides a polyolefin-based composition suitable for use as adhesives and/or tie-layer adhesive compositions as well as a multi-layered structure made from and/ or containing the polyolefin-based composition. Disclosed is a polyethylene composition having faster crystallization rate and improved environmental stress cracking resistance. The polyethylene composition comprises a multimodal polyethylene and a nucleating agent. The multimodal polyethylene comprises from 25 to 50 wt % of a low molecular weight ethylene homopolymer component, from 25 to 50 wt % of a medium molecular weight ethylene copolymer component and from 25 to 50 wt % of a high molecular weight ethylene copolymer component. The polyethylene composition has an environmental stress cracking resistance (ASTM D1693, Condition B in 100% Igepal) greater than or equal to 40 days and a crystallization half time less than or equal to 70% of the crystallization half time of the multimodal polyethylene without nucleating agent.

The present disclosure provides a polyolefin-based composition made from or containing (A) a first grafted polyolefin composition, (B) a second grafted polyolefin composition made from or containing a first metallocene-catalyzed linear low density polyethylene grafted with an unsaturated monomer, (C) a second metallocene-catalyzed linear low density polyethylene composition, (D) a Ziegler-Natta-catalyzed linear low density polyethylene composition, (E) an elastomeric composition made from or containing (i) an elastomeric ethylene copolymer and (ii) an ethylene-propylene elastomer, and (F) a tackifier composition. Optionally, the polyolefin-based composition may be further made from or contain an additives composition. The polymeric composition is suitable for use as a tie-layer adhesive composition.
