Components in rocket kerosene were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. In the condition adopted, 159 peaks were detected in total ion current chromatogram (TIC) of rocket kerosene, 131 peaks among them were identified. The components identified account for 80.37% of total amount of rocket kerosene. It is found in rocket kerosene that, almost half of all components are bicyclo-paraffins, followed by monocyclo-paraffins and iso-alkanes, still by little n-alkanes, oxygen-containing compounds, alkenes, tricyclo-paraffins and aromatics. Most bicyclo-paraffins are alkyldecalins, alkylspiro [5.5] undecanes, and naphthenic cyclohexanes, which respectively account for 49.04%, 19.28% and 16.64% of bicyclo-paraffins. Monocyclo-paraffins are mostly alkylcyclohexanes and alkylcyclopentanes, which respectively account for 66.62% and 31.10% of monocyclo-paraffins. Source

The combined process of Electrolyzed oxidizing water(EOW)and membrane bioreactor(MBR)was applied to treat the UDMH wastewater, and its treatment efficiency was compared with that by MBR alone. In the combined process, the treatment efficiency of UDMH wastewater is better than MBR alone. When the influent COD and UDMH are 800 to 1000 mg·L-1 and 300 mg·L-1, the effluent COD and UDMH are about 55 mg·L-1 and 0.3 to 1.5 mg·L-1 respectively, close the demand of the Discharge standard of water pollutants for space propellant. In the MBR process alone, the effluent COD and UDMH are about 90 mg·L-1 and 45 mg·L-1 respectively, which worse than the combined process EOW-MBR, especially the effluent UDMH far beyond the demand of the Discharge standard of water pollutants for space propellant. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. An integrated membrane bioreactor (MBR) was used to dispose Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) wastewater in lab. The factors affecting the oriment effect of UDMH westewater, HRT, DO, pH and MLSS were studied under the test conditions UDMH 40-50mg/L, COD 800-1000mg/L, pH 6.5-9.0, MLSS 612g/L, DO 0.5-3. Omg/L, HRT 18-24h. The results showed that under the condition with the HRT of 18h, DO of 2.5mg/L, pH of 8.0 and MLSS of 10g/L, the integrated MBR had the highest degradation rate. The average removal efficiency of COD and UDMH was 95% and 99.4%, respectively. It was proved that the UDMH wastewater could be degraded effectively by MBR and the demand of GB14374-93 can be satisfied. Source
