As the Federal Kalman filter has some good features such as flexibility, and good fault-tolerance, this paper proposes a federal Kalman filter design method and fault-tolerant structure. The structure uses the residual error between the local filter and reference filter for fault detection. In this paper, a simulation study of the integrated navigation system is done. The study shows that the algorithm is very simple, reliable, not only can quickly detect the fault of the external sensors and reference system, but also has good fault-tolerant. It can quickly detect and isolation fault, and let the integration of the system remain high precision. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH. Source

This paper studies the content from the urgent needs of production practice, it will take mechanism analysis to be a breakthrough to solve the problem of the resistance loss of complex terrain of iron ore slurry transportation. Through the analysis of past formula of pipeline resistance loss, combined with the actual characteristics of Dahongshan pipeline, correction formula of pipeline transportation resistance loss is derived. And we use the actual production data to prove the accuracy of the formula, the error is under control within 10%. The formula ignores energy loss due to the movement of particles, so the bias between the calculated and measured values still exists. For the problems that KPCA is not suitable for large sample, a new PCA method based on feature subspace projection (FSP_PCA) was proposed. The kernel trick is used to select from the sample data set to form a base vector set in a feature space F. Thus the selected vectors define a subspace in F. The data are projected onto this subspace where principal component analysis is applied to the projected data. Then, a new FSP_PCA and its application to fault detection are presented. When fault occurs, the angle (kernel principle angle) between the new fault subspaces and known fault subspace is calculated. Fault can be identified based on the kernel principle angle. The proposed method is used to monitor the Tennessee Eastman (TE) process to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency. Source
