For the first time, a series of Ag/BiOI photocatalysts with different Ag contents have been synthesized by a hydrothermal combinated with photodeposition method. The as-prepared products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron micrographs (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS), and photoluminescence (PL) emission spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activities of these Ag/BiOI composites under visible-light irradiation (λ> 420 nm) were evaluated by the degradation of acid orange II, methyl orange (MO) and rhodamine B (RB). The results revealed that the Ag/BiOI composites exhibited much higher photocatalytic activities than pure BiOI. The Ag amount in the Ag/BiOI composites played an important role in the corresponding photocatalytic properties and the optimized ratio was obtained at 0.6%. The significant enhancement in the Ag/BiOI photoactivity could be ascribed to both the effect of Ag deposits by acting as electron traps and the surface plasma resonance effect of Ag. © 2011 Elsevier B.V.

An energy profiling apparatus for profiling power consumption characteristics of code being executed at an integrated circuit being powered by a power source and having a measurement module, a data processing module and a display module is disclosed. The energy profiling apparatus comprises first, second and third interfaces as well as a profile module. The first interface is configured to receive a first data set from the measurement module. The second interface is configured to receive a second data set from the data processing module. The third interface is configured to transmit a third data set to the display module. The profile module is configured to generate an energy profile of the code executed at the data processing module based on a correlation between the first data set and the second data set. Furthermore, the profile module is configured to transmit the energy profile as part of the third data set to the display module.

A low power reference device is disclosed. The low power reference device includes a precision reference module, a low power reference module, a calibration module, an output module and one or more sequencers. The precision reference module is configured to output a first reference signal while the low power reference module is configured to output a second reference signal. The calibration module is configured to receive the first and second reference signals and output a correction signal to the low power reference module. The output module is configured to receive the first and second reference signals and output a final reference signal. The one or more sequencers are configured to drive each of the precision reference modules, low power reference module, calibration module and output module according to a predetermined timing sequence.

An LCD driver for driving an LCD having a plurality of segments, wherein each segment is enabled by an RMS voltage exceeding a predefined turn-on threshold is disclosed. The LCD driver includes a control module, a power supply module, a reference module and a selector module. The control module is configured to output at least a clock, a first control, a second control and a third control. The power supply module is configured to receive a supply voltage and the first control, and output the supply voltage to the reference module. The reference module is configured to receive the supply voltage and the second control, and output a plurality of duty cycled and buffered reference voltages. The selector module is configured to receive the buffered reference voltages and the third control, and output one or more of the buffered reference voltages to one or more of the segments of the LCD according to a predefined sequence.


Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods for facilitating the aggregation of carbon reduction credits resulting from finance loans financing the purchase of energy technology. For example, a credit aggregator may receive from a finance institution estimate parameters describing a loan type. The credit aggregator may calculate a value of a carbon reduction credit associated with each loan of the loan type considering the estimate parameters and display the value to the finance institution. In addition, the credit aggregator may receive bid data and booking data from the finance institution. When a credit is booked, the credit aggregator may receive from the finance institution periodic indications of a status of the intervention technology.
