The calculation of infrared radiation characteristics of non-uniform hot gas is very difficult because its temperature, density, component and pressure are non-uniform for different points of inner space. To calculate the infrared characteristics for non-uniform hot gas, characteristics of non-uniform hot gas and line group model of uniform hot gas were analyzed firstly and based on radiation theory of molecules and atoms, the parameters of line group model of non-uniform hot gas were calculated with C-G approximation for single spectrum model, combing the collided-broaden effects and the Doppler-broaden effects of spectrum. Based on the anterior analysis, a new calculation method of infrared radiation characteristics of non-uniform hot gas was presented. Finally, the 3-5 μm infrared radiation intensity released from a simple spout jet aircraft at normal state was computed by using the calculation method mentioned above. The calculation result is preferably accord with the meterage data included in the thesis. The calculation and simulation results validate the correctness of the proposed method. Source
