The La0.7Mg0.3Ni2.5Co0.4Mn 0.2Al0.1 hydrogen storage alloy was synthesized by arc-melting and powder sintering techniques and the microstructure and electrochemical performance of the alloy were investigated. The results showed that the alloy mainly consist of the (La, Mg) Ni3 and the LaNi5 phases and the powder sintering time made a different effect on the electrochemical hydrogen storage properties, when the alloy sintered at 1173 K for 4 h, it exhibited a maximum discharge capacity of 334 mAh/g and the sintered alloy for 10 h showed a best cyclic stability, the cycling capacity retention rate was 69.1 % after 100 cycles.

Simulation of imagery thinking has important significance for research and development of human intelligent systems. The breakthrough of computer simulation of imagery thinking is the simulation of mental imagery's memory mechanisms. In this study, a visual mental imagery memory model accord with working mechanism of declarative memory has been constructed. The new model has four layers. They are feature layer, hyper column layer, MTL (medial temporal lobe) free neurons layer and imagery concept layer. The design method and function of the model are described in the study. The experiment results demonstrate, the model can extract contour of target effectively and can realize various operation of mental imagery. © 2010 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

A triaxial LiFePO 4 nanorod with Graphite was successfully synthesized through the electrospinning method.In order to improve lithium-ion battery cathode material lithium ion phosphate properties, to enhance its electronic conductivity and lithium ion diffusion rate and lower electrode polarization, the present invention was prepared by using electrospinning lithium-ion battery cathode material lithium iron phosphate / graphite nanorods. The following is the process: first of all, precursor solution is prepared by electrospinning, the use of high voltage power supply, LiFePO 4/graphite nanorods, and then the use of LiFePO 4 / graphite nano-fiber sintering, and use change to reduce the carbon content of the sintering process, with varying carbon content of LiFePO 4/ graphite nano-rod nanorods.

In the title compound, C 15H 13NO 3S 2, the dithiolane ring adopts a twisted conformation. The molecule exhibits a V-shaped conformation, with a dihedral angle of 79.05 (7)° between the benzene ring and the pyridine ring. In the crystal, C - H⋯O interactions are observed.

The blood substitutes refer to the substitutes of red blood cell with the ability to carry oxygen. This paper adopts open-loop coordination polymerization and gets amphiphilic triblock copolymer of mPEG-PAGE-PDLLA with the hydrophilic end-mPEG segment, and hydrophobic end-PLA segment. And it can be automatically assembled into vesicles in the water. The hemoglobin nanoparticles can be obtained by combining with Vesicle-coated hemoglobin, which are independently blended with oxygen and biodegradable. Meanwhile the paper makes an analysis of various physical and chemical properties to hemoglobin nanoparticles. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Salinization has severe influences on agriculture in the whole world. The main aims of this work were to evaluate osmotic effect and ion effect of NaCl on seed germination of three sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) cultivars interacting with three alternating temperature regimes and to select the most salt tolerant cultivars to plant in the saline region. Seeds were germinated in the isotonic NaCl and polyethylene glycol (PEG) solutions of -0.45, -0.90, -1.34, -1.79, and -2.24 MPa at 10: 20, 15: 25, and 20: 30°C temperature regimes. Both NaCl and PEG inhibited germination, but the effects of NaCl were less as compared to that of PEG, which means that adverse effects of PEG on germination were due to osmotic effect rather than specific ion accumulation. For the three cultivars, higher germination occurred at 10: 20°C in NaCl treatments and at 20: 30°C in the isotonic PEG treatments. Among the three cultivars, Sandaomei (SDM) is the most tolerant to salt and PEG stress. © 2014 Zhihui Luan et al.
