Based on the equation for the dependence of the glass-transition temperature vs. the cooling rate, the analogous dependence has been determined for the fraction of fluctuation volume, which is frozen at the glass-transition temperature. It has been shown that the constant ratio of empirical constants of the given equation is the consequence of the criterion of vitrification in the model of delocalized atoms. The nature of the free volume of amorphous substances has been discussed. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Source

Abstract A single theoretical model for calculating heat conductivity coefficients is presented. The model is based on the mobility of ions and takes into account the characteristics of individual solvated ions and properties of the solvent. The model allows us to obtain heat conductivity coefficients for solutions of individual electrolytes and their mixtures in aqueous and non-aqueous solvents. © 2015 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Source

Based on the plasma-like theory of electrolyte solutions, areas of concentration with minimum activity coefficients are found, and the predominance of association phenomena leading to the formation of ionic associates or molecular solvates is explained. Alternative nonempirical models for estimating the activity coefficients of electrolytes are developed that produce values close to or coinciding with the available literature data in the 0 to 16 mol/L range of concentrations. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2016.
