Using the near-source Brune model, we calculate apparent stresses of ML≥2.0 earthquakes occurred in the capital area of China since 2002using seismic waveform data recorded by the Capital Circle Digital Seismic Network. We discussed scaling relations of source parameters, and choose the 2.0≤ML≤2.9earthquakes to analyze and discuss anomalous variation characteristics in time and space before medium-strong earthquakes. The results show that apparent stresses have an obvious high value anomaly before many medium-strong earthquakes, and the earthquakes occurred t high value anomaly area. It can be seen that apparent stress state of can provide evidence for seismic risk analysis in the capital region. © 2016, Science Press. All right reserved.

Using the near-source Brune model, we determined apparent Stresses of 85 ML2.0 earthquakes occurred in the eastern Capital Circle during January 2011 to May 2012 with seismic waveform data recorded by the Capital Circle Digital Telemetry Seismic Network. We analyzed temporal and spatial variation characteristics of dynamic parameters before the 2012 Tangshan MS4.8 earthquake, and discussed the corresponding relationship with stress drop and source parameters. The results show that; (1) The apparent stresses have an obvious increase process before the 2012 Tangshan MS4.8 earthquake; (2) High value area of apparent stress in the eastern Capital Circle is relevant to the earthquake source region before the 2012 Tangshan MS4.8 earthquake. ©, 2015, Science Press.
