Today’s modern technology allows the integration of different measuring devices in a unique system, which seeks to obtain accurate and reliable information for an economical price. Using modern techniques of measurement are obtained very comprehensive amount of numerical data on the area that is subsequently to be processed and interpreted. This paper provides an overview of the possibilities of today’s technology, methodology surveying, processing and interpretation of data on the excavation of gravel lakes Cirkovljan. Emphasis is placed on the quality of calculating the cubic volume of the extracted material, which makes the ultimate objective measurements. © 2017, Croatian Geodetic Society. All rights reserved.

In the tunnelling is necessary to provide the breakthrough accuracy not only horizontally but also in terms of height. With tolerances in breakthrough point are defined parameters to calculate the coordinates of geodetic control points. In order to transfer the height to the tunnel, because of construction of underground structures, it is necessary to develop altitude geodetic basis on the surface near to the tunnel. By creating of the new Geoid model HRG2009 have been created the preconditions to consider the possible application of HRG2009 Geoid to calculate the height of the network points, or to serve as an independent check of the height defining.

For the purpose of geodetic network establishing different geodetic methods are applied. The used method is in correlation with the accuracy requirements of the project. This paper analyzes the impact of the relief configuration on the measurement accuracy of the length and on the accuracy of the height differences measured by trigonometric levelling. The measurement uncertainty of the measuring devices that have been used to perform measurement refers to the ideal conditions. As the geodetic network are not established in ideal conditions it is very important to investigate what kind of measurements accuracy can be realized in real measurement conditions.

Modeling of satellite orbits that are used to design satellite supported services on the territory of Croatia is presented in this paper. Modeling of the Kepler's orbit elements is used to optimize satellite orbits considering the territory of Croatia. The paper describes the process of designing the usage of the modeled satellite orbits i.e. Meteorological (CROMETEO) and fire protection (CROFIRE) satellite supported services designed for the territory of Croatia. Meteorological service is designed to use two satellites. One is in optimal orbit over the territory of Croatia for periodical measurements of the atmosphere parameters and the cloudiness in higher spatial resolution, while the other is in the geostationary orbit to continuously monitor the atmosphere and the cloudiness. Fire protection satellite supported service uses a satellite optimized to monitor fire risk, detect fire early, support fire extinguishing and assess fire damage.

Complete analysis of levelling traverses and levelling meshes in II. NVT network (second high accurate levelling network) is given, together with calculated closures, reference mean error and reference probable error as base for determination of accuracy criteria. After-calculation analysis of reference probable error with respect to the number of traverses in closing mesh, as well as the number single standpoint observations in each traverse. Value of constant variables for normal orthometric correction are calculated and an impact of height and latitude determination at endpoints of mesh edge is analysed regarding to each single value of orthometric corrections. For the first time, single adjustment of II. NVT network is done by method of indirect observations with a fixed reference benchmarks on five tide gauges and obtained results are compared with official, previously done, adjustment of levelling meshes in II. Aesthetic features of maps are essential for cartographers that make new, original work. It is expected from the map to meet customers’ needs in terms of content, completeness, accuracy and completeness but it is also important an aesthetics or beauty in the eye of the maps beholder that evokes a feeling of comfort and satisfaction. The experience of beauty, the inclusion of our emotions (feelings) in active observation maps, is the theme of which is not sufficiently written in the literature. Maps of the world of ancient civilizations were circular form without scales. An intention of the author is not only to be complete maps in content but also aesthetically designed using the colours for land and sea. Each new civilization took over the skills and knowledge of previous civilizations. As a role model and an inexhaustible source is used philosophy, science and art of ancient Greece. This article gives a brief overview of aesthetics as a philosophical concept of ancient Greek’s thinkers to the early 16th century. Philosophers have always wondered: where is the source of beauty, whether it is objective or subjective, by which is aesthetic judgement conditioned? Aesthetics is the philosophy of beauty. In this article are briefly described some famous world maps of ancient civilizations as well as some of the philosophers who have contributed to the philosophical thoughts about aesthetics. © 2016, Croatian Geodetic Society. Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County belongs to the group of counties with a great amount of agricultural land owned by the Republic of Croatia, but there are many factors making rational land management complicated. The main problem lies in the fact that the situation in the field is not consistent with cadastral and land registry records. The problem could be solved by means of surveying the agricultural land. The procedure of agricultural land development ends with the registration of ownership in the land registry in favour of the Republic of Croatia.

The paper describes the procedures of preparing the technical documentation for the forthcoming Population, Household and Flat Census at the territory of Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County that will be carried out from April 1-28, 2011. There is the legal framework described regulating the population census. The paper also describes the procedures and activities taken by cadastral activities in the process of preparing the documentation needed in the Population Census 2011. The important part of the technical documentation is a clear cartographic presentation. The procedure of producing and updating the articulate cartographic presentations is also described.

The paper describes in details the procedure of doing the subdivision elaborate for the division or merging of cadastral parcels. All ingredient parts of the subdivision documents are given. After verifying the subdivision documents in the cadastral office, the party institutes the land registry correction procedure. After the completion of the land registry procedure and entering the data into the land registry, the municipal court delivers to the cadastral office the decision, which makes the procedure completed. The party thus receives his/her real estate recorded in the land registry and in cadastral record with regard to the ownership, its shape and area.

The paper describes the testing of CROPOS with considering to the accuracy of the "ideal conditions", the time interval required average measurement, span between two measurements and quality indicator coordinates (RMS). The analysis showed that the "standard" indicators of quality and quantity of observations (number of satellites, PDOP and RMS) alone are not sufficient for the conclusion that the results of measurements within proclaimed accuracy, that there are situations in which the data is satisfactory, and the result is not. Therefore, further analyses were conducted with the studied time interval fixing solutions in relation to the specified time observations. The analysis showed that the percentage of solutions that do not meet the criterion of accuracy correlated with the difference of time fixing solutions in relation to the default interval observations. If these differences are less than 5 seconds, the percentage of solutions that do not meet the criterion of accuracy is around 5%. It is also evident that it is possible to reduce the need to perform double (repeated) measurements if we take into account all the parameters that define the quality of the measurement accuracy (PDOP, RMS, number of satellites, the time interval of observations, etc.). The results indicate that, depending on the nature of measurement, the acceptance threshold of significance of 5%, you can throw out repeated measurements at the same point after a period of time if the acceptance criteria listed four indicators met. This hypothesis will be further examined in order to be able to prove it.
