The target depth of well Dagu2 is 6,433.5 m-6,441.0 m, the formation temperature is 174.5°C, and the fracture pressure gradient is over 0.0259 MPa/m. Due to the pressure limits of the equipments, and normal fracturing fluid with low density and weak temperature-resistance, it is hard to operate in this well. Therefore, the high temperature (180°C) and high density (1.46 g/cm3) fracturing fluid is used to carry out sand fracturing operation successfully, and the highest well head pressure is 125.3 MPa, which provides valuable experience for fracturing transformation operated in ultra-high temperature and pressure reservoirs. According to the characteristics of CBM reservoir with low porosity, permeability and natural production, as well as high friction, hard to disperse of coal and difficult to operate with the conventional activated water fracturing fluid, a novel active water fracturing fluid system is developed based on anti-swelling agent, coal dispersants, drag reducer and cleanup agent. The evaluation results show that the damage of coal and rock matrix permeability is lower than conventional guar gum fracturing fluid with only 17.2%, and the permeability retention rate is 94.5%. The applications in more than 10 wells are successful. Source
