Small molecules branched polymeric thickener with the intrinsic viscosity no higher than 3.0 is synthesized in redox initiator system, in which AM, AMPS as the main raw materials and Sulphur ester YP as the Chain transfer agent and branched accelerator. The best synthesis process, crosslinking agents, defer agent, temperature stabilizer, cleanup additives and gel breaker are developed in laboratory experiment. This type of fracturing fluid' shear resistance temperature can reach 140 °C. The application on medium-deep wells in Liaohe and Songyuan Oilfields proved that gel breaker cooperate with conventional oxidation gel breaker can destroy the gel completely in the temperature range of 40-100 °C. This technique can reduce the harm to reservoir and has 100% rate of success.
