In article questions of methodology of management by coal-mining industry and modern methodological principles of efficiency estimation of managerial solutions concerning functioning of the coal-mining enterprises are considered. Preconditions of searching of the new approaches to a substantiation of managerial solutions in branch and a state level as a whole are determined. Main principles and approaches to forming of the new methodology of management by coal industry are proposed, the basic theoretical positions of this concept are determined. In the work it is also proved the necessity of improving of basic directions of management by resource-saving and management of resource potential is planned. © 2010 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

Purpose. To establish the empirical correlation between the spacing of primary roof breaks and its main characterizing factors at development of thin and medium-thickness gently dipping anthracite seams by deep mines on the basis of field data monitoring. Methodology. We have estimated the predicted values by means of the mathematical statistics methods. Findings. For the conditions of the development of thin and medium-thickness gently dipping anthracite beds in deep mines of Doniets bassin, the predominant types of the considered massifs have been identified depending on their structural and mechanical properties. The empirical dependence of the spacing of the primary roof breaks on the combination of key factors influencing its value has been obtained. Testing the results of work was carried out in specific geological and mining conditions of the mines "Im. F.E. Dzerzhinsky", "Imeni Kosmonavtov" (State Enterprise "Rovenkiantratsit") and "Dolzhanskaya- Kapitalnaya" (State Enterprise "Sverdlo-vantratsit"). Originality.The factor considering the ratio of the ultimate strength of the immediate roof and the main one to their height has been determined. It allowed us to improve the accuracy of the assessment of the degree of breaks in considered work environment. Practical value. We have obtained the dependence, with the accuracy sufficient for practical application, which can be used for determining the values of limiting spans of roof caving in the mined-out space. This will contribute in development of activities aiming localization of the rock subsidence and ensuring of the stable operation of the working face without emergency stops under these conditions. Purpose. The aim of the research is using boundary values of parameters related to terrestrial surface displacement and clearing wastes of the rated scheme for forecasting a trajectory of the maximum subsidence points on the terrestrial surface at the stage of clearing works development. Methodology. Empirical coefficients of mathematical dependences are determined in two ways: on the basis of processing experimental data by a method of least squares and according to the rated scheme using boundary values of parameters of terrestrial surface displacement and clearing wastes. The technique aims at establishment of the equivalence of these methods and the type of mathematical dependence, most accurately describing a trajectory of the maximum subsidence points on the terrestrial surface. Findings. The exponential equation most precisely describes a trajectory of the maximum subsidence points on the terrestrial surface. The equivalence of ways of empirical coefficients determination has been established. Originality. On the basis of the proximity of empirical coefficients determined by different ways, it has been proved that forecasting the trajectory of the maximum subsidence points on the terrestrial surface on the basis of boundary values of parameters of terrestrial surface displacement and clearing wastes is possible. Practical value. Determination of empirical coefficients of the mathematical equations by the offered way will allow to further avoid labor- and time-consuming direct supervisions to receive experimental data and perform their processing by the method of least squares. © 2014, Natsional'nyi Hirnychyi Universytet. Purpose: Development of the emotional processes application method, by analogy with human, in technical systems of patterns recognition. It gives possibility to enhance the reliability and reduce the time spent on the classification. Methodology: We have analyzed the appropriateness of use of different emotional processes in design of classifiers of technical systems of patterns recognition. The proposed information model of human memory has been generalized for the technical intelligent systems; it was based on the Atkinson-Shifrin concept. We suggest using of emotional components in the classification algorithms for the combined systems of patterns recognition. We have determined the ways of further investigations concerning the improvement of the classifiers design methods with the use of emotional processes. Findings: Comparative analysis of human-made intelligent systems with human intelligence showed the classification results discrepancy connected with the additional emotional aspects which are not considered. The proposed information model is a generalization of the Atkinson-Shifrin model for the technical recognition systems. To make the recognition systems similar to the cognitive human apparatus, we have proposed improvement of memory model through the introduction of characteristics describing the emotional processes. This allows ranking signs for their placement in short-term memory. We have proposed to determine quantitative estimates of emotional stats as a differential of the objective function for each individual information channel. We have found out that the use of combined systems of patterns recognition requires comparison of emotional processes on various information channels. Originality: We have proposed the information model of human memory that is a generalization of the Atkinson-Shifrin model for the technical recognition systems with characteristics describing the emotional processes, and the method for quantitative estimation of the level of emotional processes in technical systems of patterns recognition. We have defined the concept of emotional processes use in combined systems of patterns recognition. Practical value: The use of proposed solutions allows implementing rational aggregate of emotional components in the technical systems of patterns recognition. For defined conditions it allows us to increase the classification accuracy and reduce the time complexity of this process.

The author presents the patented technique of observation over inaccessible ground surface movements due to undermining by coal-face work in Donbass. Unlike conventional measurement and differential and profile leveling, the developed technique is based on installation of stationary laser directional markers beyond the zone of coal-face work influence while graded screens-benchmarks are installed inside the undermined sites. Initial position (onset of observation) of the measuring equipment set is coordinated with advance of production face in the mine and is shown on the screen as an immobile spot of laser beam. In the course of long-Term stationary observation, trajectory of complete vector of ground subsidence is plotted on the screen; based on this trajectory, the ground surface movements (subsidence, horizontal movements) are identified, and grade, horizontal deformation and curvature of the undermined site in time are calculated. The error of determination of movement parameters on the screen is minimized by using nomogram and introducing corrections in formulas of horizontal movements. The relative error of linear parameters is 1/35000. From appraisal of the research findings, the new technique will enable considerable reduction in labor content and improvement of operational conditions of surveying in inaccessible undermined sites. Furthermore, the complete trajectory of surface points will be obtained and, finally, movement parameters of a test ground surface site above advancing production faces will be determined.

Purpose. Creating a methodology for geomechanical monitoring of mine workings as automated data-measuring system of continuous monitoring, diagnosis and prognosis of the stress-strain state of border rock massif and support. Methodology. Complex combination of operations research theory and mechanics of underground constructions, computer and physical modelling, mine instrumental observations. Findings. The paper substantiates a new method of predicting the geomechanical processes and manifestations, as well as making decisions on ensuring the reliability of developments in their design, implementation and maintenance in the rock massif with undefined properties. The method includes geomechanical monitoring, physical and mathematical modelling, controlled at intervals according to the results of mine observations, and allows quantitative assessment of the reliability of heading at different stages of the operational lifetime and the interaction quality of the method, assets and the environment. Originality. The scientific novelty of the proposed method consists in managing the reliability of headings as the geotechnical system by adjusting its structure to the changing environment during the operational lifetime. Practical value. An adequate description of rock pressure manifestations in development headings and reasonable choice of adaptive ways and means to control the reliability of mine workings. © Babiiuk G. Purpose: To develop a theory of calculation of bearing capacity of concrete-filled-steel-tube (CFST) of the first limit state being loaded by normal force and bending moment. To establish the laws of the joint work of steel pipe and hardening concrete mix. Methodology: For adequate representation of the joint work of metal and concrete mix in CFST we took into account their joint deformation in the contact zone in the analytical and numerical mathematical models. The main characteristic feature of the method is consideration of different types of stress-strain state of the steel and concrete in CFST depending on the limit states of the fibers of the steel container. Findings: We have considered three different types of stress-strain state of CFST elements, and determined conditions of the limit state approach for each type. We have created formulas for calculation of the distribution of internal forces in guncrete element being loaded by external force. The carrying capacity of guncrete has been determined based on the physical model of the interaction of concrete and steel pipe. The laws of the transition of one type of limit state to another with changing external loading of CFST have been defined as the ratio of the normal force and the bending moment. We have developed the method for calculation of the guncrete bearing capacity. Analytical dependences for calculation of the limit relations of external loads for the three types of stress-strain state have been found out. Originality: For the first time we have proposed an analytical theory of strength of beam guncrete column for any ratio of external loads in the first limit state. The theory is applicable for any combination of mechanical and geometrical parameters of concrete and steel. We have determined the presence of three types of stress-strain state in CFST. For the first time we have proposed a generalized diagram of limit forces in CFST as a function of maximum allowable moment of the longitudinal compressive force. Practical value: The theory allows us to calculate the strength of the first limit state of CFST elements. It is necessary for their use in construction of industrial and civil engineering structures, surface complex of mines and underground mine support.

Mine working network is a complex multifunctional dynamic system, which is adequately described by the complex of functional, functional-structural and structural-functional models. Functional description of this system provides generating of project's ideas using a theory of solving the invention problems. Searching the options of material carriers of functions is provided by making and estimation of functional-structural models of mine working networks. They reflect the interconnection between the workings and technological functions performing by them. The original number of options of functional-structural models is formed using morphological analysis, and separating the subset of preferable ones from it is carried out on three private criteria using Paretto's procedure. © 2010 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

Purpose. To develop the enterprise investment attractiveness estimation methodology which is based on degree evaluation of the main investment process subjects" interests balance in order to formalize the decision procedure on expediency of investments implementation. Methodology. The enterprise investment attractiveness estimation methodology based on the investment process subjects" interests balance with the application of mathematical apparatus of the matrixes" theory has been developed. The methodology is grounded on the comparison of the enterprise investment development key indicators dynamics with the reference dynamics and subsequent ranking of investigated company among relevant classes of interests balance using fuzzy scale. Findings. Development expediency of enterprise investment attractiveness estimation process methodical supply in the direction of stakeholders" interests accounting has been proved and the problem of their balance degree assessment has been solved. The developed methodology is fully formalized and allows evaluating the degree of the investment process subjects" interests balance in order to assess the investment attractiveness of a business entity using the financial statements of the company and other information in open access. Originality. The methodical tools for making management decisions on investment expediency are improved by supplementing with methodology of enterprise investment attractiveness estimation, which unlike existing, is based on the degree assessment of the investment process subjects" interests balance that allows us to increase the validity of investment decisions and to estimate possibility of sustainable investment development of an enterprise. Practical Value. Approbation of the developed methodology on the data reflecting results of the Ukrainian enterprises investment activity. The fact that calculated results are adequate to reality testifies the possibility of its application to estimation of stakeholders interests balance for the purpose of assessment of enterprise investment attractiveness. Purpose. To study the laws of mine support bearing capacity change depending on the external loading parameters, the contact conditions of its interaction with the rock massif and the backfill stiffness. Methodology. The research was based on the numerical simulation of the interaction of the mine support with the rock massif when the marginal state appears. The main idea is to ensure the principle of equal strength of the elements when they are interacting with the rock massif. Findings. The analytical model and the method of evaluation of bearing capacity of steel frame support taking into account the contact conditions of its interaction with the rock massif and nature of external forces has been developed. The principle of equal strength support elements has been formulated and optimal criteria of their design have been proposed on its base. The marginal states appearing in the process of loading of the yielding support have been considered and analyzed. The influences of the backfill material properties on the bearing capacity of the support and the rational conditions and parameters of frame yielding support have been determined. Originality. The method for determination of the steel frame support carrying capacity has been developed on the principles of equal strength and the optimal criteria. It takes into account the marginal states appearing in the support elements depending on the external loading by the rock massif. Practical value. The method of calculation of the mine frame support bearing capacity has been developed. The method is based on the equal strength principle of support elements.
