Michael reaction of dimethyl (furan-2-ylmethylidene)malonate with 2-cyanoethanethio(seleno)amides and 4-methylmorpholine afforded 4-methylmorpholinium 6-amino-3,5-dicyano-4-(furan-2-yl)pyridine-2-thio(seleno)lates via exchange of the CH acid components. Aryl(hetaryl)methylidenemalononitriles reacted with cyanoethanethioamide under analogous conditions to give 3-aryl(hetaryl)-2-cyanoprop-2-enethioamides which were converted into 3-aryl(hetaryl)-2-(1,3-thiazol-2-yl)prop-2-enenitriles according to Hantzsch. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Sliding mode control of DC/DC buck converter with nonlinear sliding surface is proposed. The converter operation efficiency in output voltage stabilization mode is mathematically confirmed. The simulation results of converter operation in transient and steady-state modes are represented. They confirm output voltage stabilization, invariance to disturbances, increase of performance, adaptation of sliding surface to the changes of load and reference.

Micro resistance welding is effective way to reliably join small-scale parts in electronics industry and instrument-making. High quality welded joints are obtained by accurate regulation of welding current with transistor converter module which is one of the most important sub-systems in micro resistance welding machine. Multicell-type transistor converter with combined control, represented in the paper, provides high accuracy of current regulation and high energy efficiency therefore is proposed for use in micro resistance welding.

In this work the synchronous detection and the indirect current-control methods are investigated for determining the reference compensating currents of the shunt active power filter under balanced, unbalanced and distorted source voltage conditions. High quality welded joints are obtained by coordinating welding current and electrodes squeezing force profiles.
