A hydraulic overpressure valve (1) is provided comprising a valve housing (2), a valve seat (3) located in said valve housing and having a seat center and a seat center axis (4), a cone element (5) movable relatively to said valve seat (3), said cone element (5) having a cone (6) protruding at least partly into said valve seat (3) and having a cone center axis (4), and force generating means acting on said cone element (5) in a direction towards said valve seat (3). Such a hydraulic overpressure valve should be operated with low noise. To this end said cone (6) is movable along a path of movement in which said cone center axis is kept outside said seat center axis (4).

The invention relates to a hydraulic steering (1) comprising a hydraulic pressure supply port (P), a low pressure port (T), a steering unit (RSV), a switch valve (3), a hydraulic steering valve (4), a steering motor (5) and a manual steering section (6). The steering motor (5) is supplied with pressurized hydraulic fluid by the hydraulic steering valve (4) if the switch valve (3) is in a first switch valve position. The steering motor (5) is supplied with pressurized hydraulic fluid by the manual steering section (6) via the steering unit (RSV) if the switch valve (3) is in a second switch valve position. The task underlying the invention is to provide an alternative means of detecting that a change in steering in the manual steering section has occurred and therefore a switch to manual steering from automatic steering has to be signaled to the switch valve (3). To this end at least one pressure sensor (7, 8) is connected to the steering unit (RSV), wherein the at least one pressure sensor (7, 8) detects a pressure change in the steering unit (RSV) due to a change in steering in the manual steering section (6).

The invention relates to a hydraulic steering (1) comprising a hydraulic steering unit (2) and a priority valve (3). The hydraulic steering unit (2) and the priority valve (3) are arranged in a common housing (9). The hydraulic steering (1) comprises a hydraulic pressure supply port (P), a low pressure port (T), two steering connection ports (L, R) and an excess flow port (EF) to supply an external implement. The priority valve (3) distributes hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pressure supply port (P) between the hydraulic steering unit (2) and the excess flow port (EF). The task of the invention is to provide a more compact hydraulic steering. To this end the hydraulic pressure supply port (P), the low pressure port (T) and the two steering connection ports (L, R) all enter on the same side of the housing (9), and the priority valve (3) is arranged adjacent to the four ports hydraulic pressure supply port (P), the low pressure port (T) and the two steering connection ports (L, R) with two of the four ports (P, T, L, R) on either side of the priority valve (3).

A method for controlling steering of a vehicle (1) is provided, the vehicle (1) defining two or more steerable axes, and the vehicle (1) comprising a number of wheels (2), each of said wheels (2) being associated with one of said steerable axes in such a manner that steering of a given wheel (2) is obtained by steering the steerable axis associated therewith. The method comprises providing a first, a second and a third steering input. The first steering input defines a point of intersection between a virtual steering axis (4) and a longitudinal centre axis defined by the vehicle (1). The second steering input defines an angle between the virtual steering axis (4) and the longitudinal centre axis. The third steering input defines a position of a centre of rotation (5) along the virtual steering axis (4). A position for each of the steerable axes defined by the vehicle (1) is calculated, which causes the vehicle (1) to rotate about the centre of rotation (5) defined by the first, second and third steering inputs, and each of the steerable axes is moved to the calculated position.

A hydraulic system of a vehicle is provided, said system comprising:a first hydraulic circuit (1) having a first pressure source (2) and at least a first hydraulic consumer (3, 4),a second hydraulic circuit (5) having a second pressure source (6) and at least a second hydraulic consumer (7),connecting means (10, 11) allowing a flow of hydraulic fluid at least from said first hydraulic circuit (1) to said second hydraulic circuit (5),and control means (16) for controlling operation of said hydraulic consumers (3, 4, 7). Such a hydraulic system should allow safe operation of a vehicle with low energy consumption of the hydraulic system. To this end said control means (16) are connected to summation demand means (12), said summation demand means (12) controlling flow of hydraulic fluid from at least said first hydraulic circuit (1) to said second hydraulic circuit (5), said summation demand means (12) being connected to operation mode signal means (17) outputting an operation mode signal indicative of an operation mode of said vehicle, wherein said summation demand means (12) allow or block flow of hydraulic fluid from one hydraulic circuit (1) to another hydraulic circuit (5) in dependency of said operation mode signal.
