Objective To prepare Curcumin - loaded polylactic - co - glycolic acid - D - α - tocopherol polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate nanoparticles (CM - PLGA -TPGS-NPs, namely CPTN) and evaluate their quality. Methods CPTN were prepared by ultrasonication emulsion/solvent evaporation technique using PLGA - TPGS made by ourselves, its mean size , Zeta potential, drug - loading, encapsulation efficiency and in vitro release rate of CPTN were determined. The condition was checked by RP - HPLC on KROM ASIL C18 column (4.6 mm 250 mm, 5 μm) with acetonitrile and 2% acetic acid (58:42) as mobile phase, and the detective wavelength was 430 nm. Results CPTN was sphere - like with mean particle size of ( 197.9 ± 6. 2) nm, Zeta potential of (- 22.3 ±1.8) mV, drug - loading of(13.2±0.9) % and encapsulation efficiency of (79.3 ±1.6) %. The in vitro drug release profile in phosphate buffer solution of pH 7.4 containing 0.5% w/v Sodium dodecyl sulfate showed diphasic release pattern, the cumulative release rate was 91.3% at 30 d. Conclusion CPTN is stable and controllable in quality, in vitro release rate shows obvious sustained release.

Objectives: Hepatocellular carcinoma is the third most common cause of cancer death. Oleanolic acid (OA) is a natural triterpenoid, has many important biological actions, including antitumor effect, but its poor solubility often leads to poor pharmacodynamics. The aim of our work is to make OA-loaded poly (lactide-co-glycolide)-D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (PLGA-TPGS) nanoparticles (OPTN) to improve its efficacy to liver cancer and characterize it. Methods: OPTN were prepared by ultrasonic emulsification-solvent evaporation technique using PLGA with or without the addition of TPGS (OPN). The coumarin-6-loaded nanoparticles were used as a fluorescence marker. The nanoparticles were characterized for surface morphology, surface charge, particle size, drug loading, encapsulation efficiency, in vitro drug-release, cellular uptake, cytotoxicity by human liver cancer cell line HepG2 cells, and therapeutic effect in vivo. Key findings: The prepared nanoparticles were found to be spherical in shape. The in vitro drug-release profile of both nanoparticle formulations showed a biphasic release pattern. There was an increased level of uptake and cytotoxicity of OPTN in the HepG2 cells compared with that of OPN. The treatment of OPTN group was better than OPN and FS groups in vivo. Conclusion: The results showed advantages of OPTN in terms of sustainable release and efficacy in liver cancer chemotherapy compared with OPN. [Objective] To prepare Cefixime Suppositories and evaluate their quality. [Methods] Cefixime Suppositories were prepared by fusion method. The content and dissolution rates of Cefixime Suppositories were determined by RP - HPLC on HYPERSIL C18 column (4.6 mm x250 mm, 5 μm) with acetonitrile and 0.25% tetrabutyl - ammonia (1: 2) as the mobile phase, and the detective wavelength was 288 nm. [Results] Cefixime Suppositories had good quality and stability, and the method for quality control was accurate. The content of Cefixime in suppositories was 10.2% (RSD = 1.57%), the in vitro dissolution rates of Cefixime Suppositories and Cefixime Hard Capsules were (88.3 ± 1.31)% and (81.2 ± 1.59)% (P<0.05) respectively at 30 min. [Conclusions] Cefixime Suppositories has good appearance, weight difference and concentration, and their dissolution rates have been improved definitely.

[Objective] To prepare oleanolic acid (OA) drop pills and evaluate their quality. [Methods] The drop pills were prepared by a routine method. The content of OA and the dissolution rates of OA drop pills were determined by RP - HPLC on HYPERSIL C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) with methanol -0.03% HOAc solution (90: 10) as the mobile phase, and the detective wavelength was 210 nm. [ Results] The drop pills were well - distributed in size, smooth and glossy in appearance, mild in hardness. The line arrange for OA was 10-160 μg/mL(r =0. 9992) , with the content was5.09% (RSD = 1.27%). The dissolution rate of OA drop pills was(85.2 ± 1. 04)% at 30 minutes. [Conclusion] The prepared method of OA drop pills is simple, and the drop pills are well - shaped with controllable quality and high dissolution rate.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of a 24-hour esophageal combined multichannel intraluminal impedance pH (24?h our MII-pH) monitoring in children with gastroesophageal reflux (GER) disease and recurrent pneumonia. Methods: A total of 17 cases with a suspected diagnosis of GER disease children with unexplained recurrent pneumonia underwent a 24-hour MII-pH monitoring to analysis of the nature and characteristics of reflux. Results: In the 17 cases of GER disease with recurrent pneumonia, 11 (65%) were confirmed positively by a 24-hours of MII-pH monitoring. A total of 853 reflux cycle were detected, of which 65.3% were acid refluxes predominantly occurring within 2 hours after meal, and 71.6% were mixed refluxes. Refluxes occurred most frequently in the supine position, followed by the lateral position and the prone position. Distal reflux was the predominant form of reflux. According to the Biox-Ochoa classification, 73% of cases (8/11) were severe GER. Conclusions: MII-pH monitoring may effectively characterize refluxate properties and thereby increase the detection rate of GER disease.

[Objective] To investigate the effectiveness of Qiangzhuangling, a Chinese formulated recipe based on YuPeng-Feng for treatment of perspiration syndrome with superficies-asthenia. [Methods] One hundred and thirty children were given Qiangzhuangling orally for 7 days as one course. Its efficacy was evaluated after 2 courses of the treatment. [Results] Decrease of the frequency of perspiration and alleviation of the symptom by Qiangzhuangling were observed. Seventy-three children were cured, symptom in 44 children were improved, and effectiveness could be seen in 13 children. The total effective rate was 90%. [Conclusion] Qiangzhuangling is effective treatment for perspiration syndrome with superficies-asthenia and can be used for prevention and treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection (RRTI) in children.
