In the household appliance industry, noise control and production of high quality sound are important factors because that add value to the product and strengthen market competitiveness. Research in the field of numerical analysis has progressed, resulting in commercially available acoustic analysis software. As a result numerical acoustic analysis is now widely used in the household appliance industry. In this study, we focus on the acoustic analysis based on the boundary element method and cite examples of uncoupled analysis, structural-acoustic coupled analysis, and large-scale degree of freedom analysis and the other topics. © 2012 IEEE.

Increasing computer power, the size of 3D model is larger and larger. On the other hand, wearable devices become popular. Due to the restriction of the physical size, such devices can not have the same computer resources as personal computers. Therefore, the data reduction is required when 3D models are transferred from PC to wearable devices. So I have developed a data reduction technique for applying to 3D model. Considering the view point area at observing, any data can be reduced to a specified size that does not depend on the complexity of the original data. The reduced data is expressed as a 3D image. As the result of some tests, the size is reduced to the expected volume and the significant noise and error could not be detected at the reduced data in visual confirmation. © 2015 IEEE.

Augmented Reality is expected as an intuitive user interface in wearable computer devices. However, the devices like iPhone have the limitation of the computing resources. AR requires a drastic data reduction of 3D graphics models in order to work at interactive speed on such devices. As the data reduction method, I have proposed 3D model rebuilding from the rendered images. In this paper, I introduce two cases I have tried. The first one is the way to rebuild the 3D model from only three images from orthogonal three directions. The second one is the way to add Z buffer information to it. I have captured the Z buffer information through OpenGL capture technique. It allows us to get it from any OpenGL based graphics software. As the result from some tests, we have understood that the first one can be applied to only the limited contents, but the second one can be applied to the wider range of contents. © 2013 IEEE.

Recently, the Model-Based-Development (MBD) methodologies are becoming popular in the control design field. Engineers have been paying attention on how to apply MBD method to wider ranged applications. Hence, the simulation based testing, which is one of MBD methodologies, such as x-In-the-Loop (xIL) Simulation where x could be software, model or hardware, becomes substantially significant because the verification and validation process has been more and more difficult due to the increased code size of the controller. And its increase is caused by the everincreasing complexity of the controller targets. This paper shows how to efficient plant modeling and efficient code generation required for xIL Simulation using the symbolic-Algebraic method in Maple and MapleSim.
