A DC solenoid coil current controller includes a rectifier, pulse width modulator, and power driver. The rectifier inputs an alternating current signal and a direct current signal, and outputs a rectified signal using at least one of the alternating current signal and the direct current signal. The pulse width modulator outputs a pulse width modulated signal in response to the rectified signal. The power driver controls a DC solenoid coil using the pulse width modulated signal, thereby enabling a direct current DC solenoid coil to be controlled in response to the alternating current signal. A method of controlling current to a DC solenoid coil is also disclosed.

A check valve apparatus includes at least one first test channel including a first pathway extending through a valve body and in communication with a flow path. The pathway is configured to receive a test stick for inserting through the pathway of the test channel to engage a disc such that the disc moves from the open position to the closed position. In further examples, methods for testing a check valve include the step of moving an end of a test stick to engage a downstream face of a disc such that the disc is moved against a bias of a biasing device from the open position to the closed position. The method further includes the step of inspecting an interior portion of the check valve apparatus.

A power connector includes a first lug having a securing mechanism to secure a first conductor to the first lug, a second lug having a securing mechanism to secure a second conductor to the second lug, wherein the first lug and the second lug include interlocking features that enable the first and second lugs to be mechanically and electrically coupled and decoupled, and a cold-shrink insulating tube secured over the interlocked first lug and the second lug and sealed against a portion the first conductor and a portion of the second conductor. A heat shield for a thrust bearing assembly of a pump. The heat shield includes a member having an inner surface and an outer surface. A raised flange is formed on a perimeter of the inner surface. The raised flange is configured to seal with a back surface of a thrust shoe holder, and form a cavity between the inner surface and the back surface of the thrust shoe holder. At least one weep hole is on the flange. The weep hole is configured to allow water to enter the cavity to form an insulating stagnant water layer.

In further examples, a neutron absorber member retainer for a top nozzle of a spent fuel assembly is provided. The retainer includes a plate configured to inhibit a neutron absorber member inserted in a control rod guide tube from removal.

The lifting apparatus comprise a pair of opposed lifting tools 100 which engage end portions of an undercarriage wheel axle 300 for lifting. Each lifting tool 100 has a body 101 with a cavity 103 therein filled with a plurality of axially displaceable closely packed pins 105 which permit insertion of a portion of the axle or adaptor means into the cavity, and other pins, in use, surrounding said portion provide support and transfer the lift load to the surrounding body 101.
