In centrifugal casting, to produce the high manganese aluminum bronze containing nickel meets δ b ≥ 735 MPa, δ 5=18% is very difficult. Based on many practical data , model of multiple linear regression by MATLAB in centrifugal casting are built up, and the multiple linear regression equations of δ b, δ s, δ 5, HB correspond to Al, Mn, Fe, Ni, respectively are established and the validity of the equations are verified and confirmed. By adopting approaching method, through compare and analysis for the 50 groups of true value and the 2916 groups predicted value from linear regression equation, and combine with plenty of practical experience, the preferred scope of proportioning of alloying elements, which can meet requirement δ b ≥ 735 MPa, δ 5 ≥ 18% is given. At the same time, problems such as the matching relations between elements, impurity content, and control of pouring temperature are also presented.

A method of designing vertical centrifuge casting template based on group technology was described, where series number N for the mold was determined, and according to an incremental method, the series mold tranche dimension was calculated. Meanwhile, the molds were classified according to similarity criterion to construct 6 kinds of template patterns. The dimension of the N gear series system was designed in mold template to ensure the integrity of the dimension of the mold design. The remaining technical elements and details are also arranged in the mould template. In addition, if need to form drawing, title bar and the layout can be set in the template. More than 90% of design work can be completed in the mold template. The mold design can been completed only input the information such as size, so the design efficiency is improved greatly.

In past design of vertical centrifugal machine, for the lack of strength check of locking apparatus at high temperature, failure of locking apparatus in some manufacturers resulted in puff of high temperature molten metal, which led to heavy casualties. The strength check method of locking apparatus in vertical centrifugal machine was built in this paper, which can carry out strength check to locking bolt in normal and extreme conditions. Strength check to flower-shaped pressing plate was also built, which carry out strength check to shearing and upward fiexural stress in flower-shaped pressing plate. This strength check alters traditional process, conduct expert examination to harmful equipment after safety misadventures. The strength check carries out prior precaution, adopt reliable locking component material and suitable work conditions.

Rough trend of yield strength for common plastic metal mould materials were studied under high temperature condition on the basis of the data supplemented incompleteness yield strength σ0.2 using interpolation and linear regression. Designed safety factor N composed basic safety factor n and increasing safety factor k×max [(T-300), 0], k is 0.01 for common mould material; n is 3 for carbon cast steel and Cr-Mo cast steel; n is 4 for ductile iron. Permissible stress calculated for common mould materials in carbon cast steel, Cr-Mo cast steel and ductile iron and their service temperatures were compared. The paper aimed at establishing a calculating method of permissible stress on centrifugal mould material in carbon cast steel, Cr-Mo cast steel and ductile iron, and offering reliable reference to the design of centrifugal mould, also offering quantitative analysis of safety accident on fracture of centrifugal mould.

Casualty accidents were often resulted from centrifugal mould cracking because the design of the mould material was based on the experience for the lacking of the data of permissible stress in grey cast iron. The approximate change rule of the mechanical properties of the grey cast iron at high temperature was given in the paper, and the key parameters of the temperature and tensile stress during the mould cracking were obtained from the other enterprises accidents of mould cracking. After the study of the permissible stress of the grey cast iron at two temperature intervals, namely 20-400°C and 400-700°C, the calculation methods of the two intervals were given respectively. Through the calculation of 101 typical cases of grey cast iron mould, the calculation methods of the permissible stress were verified to be reliable. The establishment of the determination method of permissible stress on centrifugal mould material of grey cast iron provided the reliable basis for the design of the centrifugal mould, and the foundation for the quantitative analysis of the mould cracking accidents was settled.

High Mn aluminum bronze ZCuAl18Mn13Fe3Ni2 is composed of multi-elements, in which the elements affect the mechanical properties of the bronze each other. It is important to optimize chemical composition to realize desirable mechanical properties of the bronze by mathematical modelization. Relationship among tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness with Al, Mn, Fe, Ni elements was established by constructing BP artificial neural network model on the Matlab plateau based on lots of data from practical centrifugal casting, and availability of the model was verified by regression and prediction. 500 sets predicted values in extensive scope were obtained by the model, which was comparatively analyzed with screening true value. Furthermore, combining practical data, the optimized scope of the alloy composition was presented. In addition, ingredients, impurity content, control of pouring temperature were approached.
