Analyses and testing methods such as dissolved oxygen content measurement, bacteria analysis, ion component analysis, corrosion velocity detection, XRD, SEM and EDX of corrosion products combined with the practical production process analysis were used to study the corrosion reasons in the polluted water at the Gu No. 6 Joint Handling Station of Gudao Oil-Plant in Shengli Oilfield. It was concluded that the main corrosion types were dissolved oxygen corrosion, oxygen accelerated Ca2+/HC03 - system corrosion and SRB corrosion. Appropriate protection measures including process improvement and selection of corrosion inhibitor and so on were proposed. Source
