The causes of some accidents induced by internal fault arc in medium voltage switchgears are analyzed. And an approach for improving the cabinet structure to prevent the internal arc fault is hence proposed via calculation and test of onsite internal fault arc. Experiment demonstrates that improving the structure of the switchgear shell can effectively avoid accident expansion, and adding arc protection device can clearly reduce the damage to switchgear shell. This paper investigates the passivity and passification problems for Markov jump genetic regulatory networks with time-varying delays. A sampled-data control approach with non-uniform sampling period is taken into account. By invoking the input-delay approach and employing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method, delay-dependent sufficient conditions on passivity are first given, upon which a mode-dependent passification controller design procedure is then presented. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the applicability and effectiveness of the theoretical results. © 2015 Elsevier B.V. Source

In the function design method, both dimension and force are the key parameters. Tolerances exist in the two parameters in mechanism design. In this paper, the function design method is adopted to define the key function conditions of a circuit breaker, and a new tolerance chain model of dimension and force coupling is established. Then the tolerance impact of the dimension and force coupling chain on the circuit breaker mechanism is analyzed quantitatively. Test result shows the analysis is consistent with the actual situation. The proposed method can increase design efficiency and quality stability of the mechanism, reasonably distribute strict tolerance band, and reduce production cost. © 2015, Editorial Department of High Voltage Apparatus. A 3D FEA model of 12 kV high voltage vacuum circuit breaker is built, and the deformation of switch-shaft with different number of bearing seat support when in closing status is researched in this paper. Based on this, mechanical characteristic test has been taken to check the deformation of switch-shaft with different number of bearing seat support. Also the paper makes comparison between test and simulation result. It confirms that the assembling procedure can be simplified; the main transmission system of breaker can be optimized and cost can be reduced with the reduction of bearing seat support of switch-shaft on circuit breaker.
