We describe the results of optimizing a device that detects and measures the modulation parameters of the broadband noise of seagoing vessels caused by rotation of the propeller screw under cavitation conditions and pitching or rolling. Software implementation of this device is presented. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Source

A method of fault diagnosis in dynamic systems based on a fuzzy approach is proposed. The new method possesses two basic specific features which distinguish it from the other known fuzzy methods based on the application of fuzzy logic and a bank of state observers. First, this method uses a bank of interacting observers instead of traditional independent observers. The second specific feature of the proposed method is the assumption that there is no strict boundary between the serviceable and disabled technical states of the system, which makes it possible to specify a decision making rule for fault diagnosis. © 2013 N. We consider questions of how to ensure the required accuracy with regard to the orientation of remote Earth sensing spacecrafts by means of a strapdown ESG-based attitude reference system. The techniques, models, and algorithms that we employ are described, as are some results from actual flight tests. The ways of further improving the accuracy of inertial system under consideration are discussed. © B.E. Landau, S.S. Gurevich, G.I. Emel'yantsev, S.L. Levin, S.G. Romanenko, 2010. Source
