Systems and methods are provided for registering a sensor assembly, implemented on a base apparatus, to a desired location associated with a head of a user. A position of a reference point on the base apparatus is determined relative to an external anatomical landmark of the user. A position of the external anatomical landmark is determined relative to the desired location. The position and orientation of the sensor assembly is determined relative to the desired location according to the determined position and orientation of the sensor assembly relative to the reference point, the determined position of the reference point relative to the external anatomical landmark, and the position of the external anatomical landmark relative to the desired location.


A patient tissue includes a primary patient tissue area and an anatomically differentiated bordering secondary patient tissue area. An apparatus is at least partially customized responsive to preoperative imaging of the patient tissue. Means are provided for mating with the primary patient tissue area in a preselected relative orientation. Means are provided for fixing a first landmark to the primary patient tissue area in at least one of a predetermined marking location and a predetermined marking trajectory. Means are provided for fixing a second landmark to the secondary patient tissue area in at least one of a predetermined marking location and a predetermined marking trajectory. A method of associating a plurality of landmarks with a patient tissue is also provided.

An apparatus (100) for providing a reference indication to a patient tissue includes a primary locating block (102) having a patient-specific primary mating surface (106) contoured for mating contact with a portion of the tissue in a predetermined primary mating orientation custom-configured responsive to preoperative imaging of the tissue. At least one mounting feature (108) is provided to the primary locating block. At least one secondary item (104) is configured for selective engagement with the primary locating block. The secondary item is at least one of a non-customized secondary item and a patient-specific secondary item. The secondary item provides a reference indication to at least a portion of the tissue. The mounting feature of the primary locating block is configured for engagement with at least one secondary item in a predetermined secondary mounting relationship. The secondary mounting relationship is custom-configured for the tissue responsive to preoperative imaging of the tissue.

The prosthesis comprises a prosthetic leg comprising a leg lumen extending therethrough, wherein the leg lumen is in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the anastomosis, and wherein the prosthetic leg is disposed longitudinally along the prosthetic trunk and includes internal projections.


One aspect of the present disclosure relates a system that can employ micromagnetic stimulation to activate and/or suppress conduction in at least a portion of a peripheral nerve. The system can include a stimulator to provide a time-varying stimulus. The system can also include a microcoil that can be operatively coupled to the stimulator to receive the time-varying stimulus. Based on the time-varying stimulus, the microcoil can provide an electromagnetic induction to the peripheral nerve to activate and/or suppress conduction.


A system and method of controlling the operation of a pump system includes modulating the speed of the pump and calculating a system condition parameter having a value related to the area of a hysteresis loop generated by a system operating parameter that varies in response to pump speed. The condition of the system is determined in response to the value of the system condition parameter.
