I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University is the main university of Chuvashia in the Russian Federation. It is in Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic, on the Volga River northeast of Moscow.The university has over 10,000 students and 3,865 faculty, including 77 Doctors of science and 446 Candidates of science .The rector is Vsevolod Agakov.The president of the university is Lev Panteleimonovich Kurakov. He was the president of the Chuvash Academy of science and a member of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation. From 1997 to 2002, he was vice president of the Chuvash Republic. A mechanism of neutron transfer between nuclei in close low-energy collisions is established. It includes three stages: the transformation of the initial one-nuclear state into a two-nucleus state, the transitions of this state to other molecular states, and the transformation of those states into one-nuclear states in which nuclei are separated from one another. This study is an attempt to answer the question – what kind of spiking neural networks could efficiently transform rate-coded input signal into temporally coded form – specific activity of neuronal groups with strictly fixed temporal delays between spikes emitted by different neurons in every group. Since theoretical approach to the solution of this problem appears to be very hard or impossible the network configurations performing this task efficiently were found by means of genetic algorithm. Exploration of their structure showed that while excitatory neurons form the groups with stereotypical firing patterns, the inhibitory neurons of the network make these patterns specific for different rate-coded stimuli and, thus, play the key role in conversion of rate-coded input signal to temporal code. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016. The model of random smooth curvature for carbon nanotubes within the framework of the theory of random processes is proposed for describing the particle channeling in carbon nanotubes. The degree of influence of random nanotube axis deviation from the straight line on the particle channeling has been investigated with a specific choice for particular type of random processes. The aim of this research was to analyze the general somatic status and to compare the functional activities of the sympathetic versus parasympathetic parts of a patient’s vegetative nervous system in the formation of a particular type of age-related cataract. It has been for found that in cases of a cortical age-related cataract, the predominance of sympathetic effects of the vegetative nervous system and corresponding features of systemic diastrophic changes in tissues is typical. In cases of the nuclear type of senile cataract, on the other hand, the predominance of para-symptomatic effects, which led to dystrophic changes of a different type, was found. Therefore, the type of age-related cataract can be proposed as an accessible clinical marker of the character of the neuro-dystrophic process in a patient. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Source
