With the increasing penetration rate of smart devices, the use of smart devices is becoming popular and effective in many areas including the field of elearning. Recently, there has been an increasing demand for smart learning based on mobile devices. Smart learning should provide a learner-centered education environment, ability for authoring learning content, and smartlization of e-learning services. However, existing learning content authoring tools use Flash or video are not suitable for mobile devices. Most of the Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) that are available for authoring content are not optimized for mobile devices, because they face a challenge in providing the ability to author content quickly in real-time. In this paper, we propose a content authoring tool design that is optimized for smartlearning and learner-centered education environment. This tool is available as a mobile version and a PC version, and provides cloud services to students. Further, this tool allows the use of EdX as the learning platform to deploy the learning content. We expect that this tool can cause smartlization of learning content, which facilitates smart learning. © Research India Publications. Source

Cloud Computing has changed the world of IT infrastructure from object of possessing to object of rental. This concept aims at innovatively changing the field of IT as well as increasing the cost-efficiency of IT resources. Cloud Computing can be provided through various service techniques. It can be practically implemented and serviced by a virtualized environment. When developing cloud computing techniques, many companies offer different types of platforms based on research performed on the relevant technique. Among other platforms available, this paper discuses the performance comparison analysis of a Linux Container and a Virtual Machine. We first built a Cloud environment on a Docker, which, is based on a Linux Container, and a Hypervisor, which, is a Virtual Machine. We have analyzed the size, boot speed, and CPU performance for each of these platforms. Using these analysis results, users would be able to understand the characteristics of each platform, thus enabling them to choose the appropriate platforms they require. © Research India Publications.
