Ischemic contracture of the myocardium is a special type of sudden cardiac arrest. Once occurs, it is difficult to resuscitate with the traditional cardiopulmonary resuscitation. However, when it is prevented the very beginning, resuscitation might be successful. In this paper, we would discuss its pathogenesis and pathology, and attempt to formulate a strategy of prevention of ischemic cardiac contracture including blockage of Ca2+ overloading, adopting ischemic preconditioning, giving an optimal dose of epinephrine, and maintenance of a mild hypothermia. T is proposition might serve as references for clinicians to combat this clinical problem. Source

This paper describes the methods for simulation of the fire smoke in domestic and foreign subways. By using two simulation software FLUENT and FDS, comparative study of their mathematical models was conducted. By comparison between simulation software field and simulation technology theory as well as the contrast of the physical model of fire smoke spread, and according to the smoke spread test results in Tianjin Xiawafang Subway Station, this paper compared the numerical results of the two simulation software respectively, expecting to use for reference for the study of smoke spread in subway platform fire in the future. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. The association between MHTFR Glu429Val polymorphism and breast cancer risk are inconclusive. To derive a more precise estimation of the relationship, a meta-analysis was performed. A total of 29 studies including 8,649 cases and 18,672 controls were involved in this meta-analysis. Overall, no significant associations were found between MTHFR Glu429Ala polymorphism and breast cancer risk when all studies were pooled into the meta-analysis (Glu/Glu vs Ala/Ala: OR = 0.891, 95 % CI = 0.782-1.015; Glu/Ala vs Ala/Ala: OR = 0.874, 95 % CI = 0.760-1.006; dominant model: OR = 0.885, 95 % CI = 0.775-1.012; and recessive model: OR = 0.989, 95 % CI = 0.931-1.051). In the subgroup analysis by ethnicity, significantly elevated breast cancer risk was associated with Glu/Glu variant genotype in homozygote comparison and recessive genetic model (Glu/Glu vs Ala/Ala: OR = 0.78, 95 % CI = 0.63-0.97; Glu/Glu vs Glu/Ala: OR = 0.92, 95 % CI = 0.85-0.99; recessive model: OR = 0.91, 95 % CI = 0.85-0.97), while no significant associations were found for all comparison models in other ethnicity populations. In conclusion, this meta-analysis suggests that the MTHFR Glu429Ala polymorphism may be not associated with breast cancer development. © 2013 International Society of Oncology and BioMarkers (ISOBM). The double seals technology is widely used in the large oil tank. But several oil tank lightning fire accident investigations illustrate that fires were caused by the discharge in the double sealing space. In this paper, the mechanism of lightning fire accident in the double sealing space was analyzed based on the investigation results of some domestic lightning accidents of large floating roof tanks. The lightning protection measures for floating roof tank's second sealing space was summarized including both domestic and foreign lightning protection related codes, specification specifications and technology technologies. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm has come to be widely used as a problem solving method in engineering and computer science. This algorithm is one of recently several highly desirable attributes, including the fact that the basic algorithm is very easy to understand and implement. It is similar in some ways to evolutionary algorithms, but requires less computational bookkeeping and generally fewer lines of code. In the traditional training algorithm, we will determine neuron for number of neural network, but we are unable to guarantee that is feasible to number. So, in this paper, a hierarchical particle swarm optimization (HPSO) is proposed, which can determine the structure of the neural network and tune the parameters in the neural network automatically. Experimental results have shown that the proposed HPSO has a good performance. Source
