3, 4-asian ethylene dioxythiophene (EDT) monomer polymerization process, the chemical polymerization of PEDT film preparation process, a systematic study of polymerization conditions on the PEDT film performance, and PEDT film electricalproperties and thermal stability analysis, the results indicate that the content of the initial temperature of the polymerization process, polymerization time, conductivity enhancer, the solution of the reaction system and other factors have a significant impact on the structure and performance of the conductive polymer PEDT. Used this prepared PEDT as solid electrolyte in the manufacture of chip tantalum electrolytic capacitor, capacitor performance improved significantly, and the ESR value is less than 50 mΩ.

This paper studied film-forming process of high frequency and low ESR organic chip solid -electrolyte tantalum capacitor employing PEDOT as a cathode material. Particularly, the influence of different polymerized temperatures, concentration of doping agent and solvent evaporated temperature on ESR of chip solid tantalum electrolytic capacitor was discussed. The results showed that desirable PEDOT film is achieved when polymerized temperature was about 0 to 10°C, concentration of doping agent was 3% and solvent evaporated temperature was 80°C. As a result, the obtained organic chip tantalum capacitor exhibit lower ESR and better frequency characteristic than conventional capacitor.
