Because the repairing work of beam and floor after earthquake were great, and the cost were higher, the generalize application of eccentrically braced steel frame were limited. A new braced steel frame system was suggested, which was energy dissipating eccentrically brace. The experimental data of new and conventional D-type eccentrically braced steel frame system were achieved by two specimens under cyclic loading. Results indicated that the new system could put off yielding, reduce earthquake input energy and breakage of the link, reduce repairing load after earthquake, and have preferable ductility and enough lateral stiffness. The new braced steel frame system which had gained patent of invention in Chinese was practical and costly that it could be applied in present project. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. The technology of pushing and resetting is an important means of examining of design and construction for a base sliding isolation structure. A base sliding isolation structure with displacement-restricted devices was analyzed with the finite element analysis program SAP2000, positions of local loads were simulated, the features of stress and deformation of foundation beams at the top of the isolation layer were studied in different cases, a pushing scheme with the minimum additional internal force and the minimum deformation in the upper structure was obtained. Meanwhile, the dynamic responses of the structure were analyzed in different cases and under the overall loads, the contrast relationship of the dynamic responses of the structure under local loads and the overall loads was obtained. The practical engineering examples showed that a multi-point loading scheme with loading points reasonably dispersed along multi-axis can basically meet pushing and resetting requirements of a base sliding isolation structure, and it can be an effective method for detecting the effect of design and construction on a base sliding isolation structure. Based on the three positioning principles for installation in bridge engineering, the fourth positioning principle for installation which is suitable for the construction engineering is put forward. Based on the characteristics and applicability of a few existing analysis methods of construction mechanics for structure and according to the positioning principles of components of structure in actual projects, an improved nonlinear analysis method named element birth and death of local configuration constraint is put forward to solve the problem of death element's 'floating' in this paper. This method was applied in the mechanical emulation and analysis of the Heshi Stupa of Famen Temple during the construction process. The computation results by the improved method agreed with the measured values well in the project. This indicates that the improved method is an effective analysis method of construction mechanics for structure. Source

By selecting the relevant factors affect the real estate price, with the qualitative analysis method to analyze the housing prices changes of Xi'an, and then establish ARMA regression model of the housing price index, found that the factors exist long-run co-integration. In order to better reflect the actual, the government policy as a dummy variable is introduced into the model to make regression results more significantly, showing that government policies play an important role in the control of the impact on real estate. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. This paper suggests a new connection protocol, adding cover-plate between shear links and column, which was used to enhance moment and shear carrying capacity of beam, relax the restriction and assure the sufficiency development of plastic deformation of the link, and dissipate more earthquake energy. Considering the scale ratio of 1:3, the experimental data was achieved by a specimen under cyclic loading, which was verified by nonlinear finite element analyses. Results indicate that the new type of eccentrically braced steel frame have enough stiffness and deformation capacity, draw link away from flange of column, and dissipate more earthquake energy. The single diagonal eccentrically braced frames adopted adding cover-plate protocol will ensure sufficient lateral stiffness under ordinary circumstances, including lateral loads due to wind and moderate seismic disturbances, have preferable resisting seismic behavior under rare earthquake, and be so practical and costly that it can be easily applied in present project. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.
