The efficiency and flexibility of resource allocation has become a major concern in modern data centers recently. For the demand satisfactory under changing application workload, adaptive management of the shared infrastructure via Virtual Machine (VM) replacement is critical to data center providers. In comparison with previous achievements that focus on individual VM behavior, we prefer to take into account both global replacement cost and integrated resource efficiency for a reallocation decision. Motivated by the differences on integrated utilization and replacement quantity obtained from different allocating schemes, in this paper we map such a VM replacement as a dual-objective Vector Packing problem with Minimal Placement Cost (VP-MPC). To solve such a NP hardness problem, we develop an Adaptive VM Replacement (AVR) scheduling mechanism to obtain the approximate optimal VM replacement scheme. AVR is an enhanced grouping genetic algorithm with multi-dimensional awareness and joint optimization based on weighted fuzzy logic. We have implemented our AVR algorithm in CloudSim and make detailed comparisons with several existing studies. The simulation results show that our AVR algorithm achieves high efficiency and exhibits good balance between integrated utilization and global replacement cost. © 2013 by Binary Information Press.

In the era of cloud computing, cloud computing with mass storage sharing, rapid data processing and other advantages has been widely used in the field of education. The Educational cloud systems will play an important role in the development of education informatization. This paper selects educational cloud systems as the research subject, based on the status quo of educational cloud, and builds up a value assessment system to provide quantifiable and operational standards for the educational cloud systems, with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. This paper further proposes program and process recommendations for educational cloud systems in order to elevate its value and efficiency. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.


The present invention provides a method for setting a heartbeat timer, a terminal and a server. The method includes: a terminal installed with an application receives a timer setting request carrying first setting information of a to-be-set timer transmitted by the application; the terminal transmits a timer query request to a server according to the first setting information; the timer query request carries a query identifier generated according to the first setting information; the terminal receives a timer query response returned by the server, where the timer query response carries a query result indicating whether a heartbeat timer list includes a heartbeat timer information entry matched with the query identifier; the terminal determines whether to set the to-be-set timer for the application according to the query result, and performs a corresponding setting operation. The solution can effectively manage and set a heartbeat timer within a mobile phone terminal.


The present invention provides a method for writing a card over the air, a server and a smart card, the method includes: receiving, by a server, a card writing request transmitted by a portal site, where the card writing request carries a preset number and a card writing number corresponding to a smart card to be written; acquiring first card data corresponding to the card writing number according to the card writing number; transmitting the first card data to the smart card according to the preset number to instruct the smart card to correspondingly replace, except an original authentication key parameter, original card data corresponding to the preset number with the first card data, and correspondingly replace the original authentication key parameter in the original card data with a first authentication key parameter presorted in the smart card, so that the smart card completes card writing over the air.
