With the wide application of the wireless sensor network, the security of the sensor network is becoming increasingly important. In this paper, based on node ranging, a new intrusion node detection algorithm has been proposed for external pseudo-node detection in wireless sensor networks. The presence of the nodes under copying-attack and the pseudo-nodes in the network can be detected through inter-node ranging with appropriate use of various sensors of nodes themselves and comprehensive analysis of ranging results. Operating in a stand-alone or embedded manner, this method has remedied the defects in the traditional principle of attack detection. The simulation results show that the proposed method has excellent applicability in wireless sensor security detection.

In order to promote the measurement accuracy of circumference of cigarette or filter rod sample with an irregular cross section, the effects of eccentric distance and the ratio between scanning rate and sample rotational speed on diameter measurement were analyzed following the establishment of a rotational model of irregular samples and configuration of a standard meter for circumference measurement, and four circumference meters of different types were compared. The results showed that: 1) It was proved that when sample's rotation angle ≤0.04° in a single test run, the variation of diameter reading and absolute ovality was less than 0.001 and 0.05 mm, respectively. 2) Eccentric distance did not influence circumference measurement, but it would bring about the errors of measured maximum and minimum diameters. With reference to the eccentric distance of the four circumference meters, the possible errors of maximum and minimum diameter caused by eccentric distance were assessed, and they all fell within the tolerance range of diameter measurement. © 2016, Editorial Office of Tobacco Science and Technology. To improve the control accuracy of filter rod length, taking KDF4 filter rod maker as a research object, an on-line filter rod length measurement system was designed on the basis of linear light imaging principle. The designed system consisted of three modules: length measurement module, data processing and controlling module, and man-machine interface module. The projection positions of two ends of filter rod were detected via the edge detection technology of image sensor, the collected signals were calculated by PLC and converted into the length of filter rod. The test results showed that the detection error and standard deviation of the system were lower than ±0.03 mm and 0.015, respectively; it promoted the precision of filter rod length detection and the production efficiency of filter rod maker effectively. © 2016, Editorial Office of Tobacco Science and Technology. The newly isolated Pseudomonas sp. ZUTSKD was evaluated for its ability to degrade nicotine in tobacco waste extract (TWE). The strain degraded nicotine completely when the concentration of reducing sugar in TWE was lower than 8 g L-1. Yeast extract and phosphate additions improved nicotine degradation in 5% TWE. At 30 oC and pH 7.0, with additional 15 g L-1 Na2HPO4.6H2O and 6 g L-1 KH2PO4 in 5% TWE, Pseudomonas sp. ZUTSKD could degrade 97% of nicotine (1.6 g L-1) in 12 h. The data showed that strain ZUTSKD could be useful to control the nicotine content in TWE. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Datacenter has evolved to become more business-relevant, dealing with the increasing business data from different systems. At present, most enterprises focus on introducing the batch management into supply chain and production. This study applies barcode and radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies as the means of batch management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness for managing the smallest unit of raw material and cigarette product information in supply chain, production, and sales management process. This paper discusses the business demand model, develop and implementation the batch management information system in a tobacco industry enterprise. The system based on Service-Oriented Architecture and using enterprise services bus (ESB) integration with enterprise other information systems to build a collaborative information platform. Platform will effective integration and correlation warehousing, logistics, production, quality, and sales information those distributed in all aspects of business and information systems, complete show the evolution process from the material to the entire product. Therefore, overall framework will help enhance the performance of the supply chain operations, and significantly improve the capability of production quality traceability and tracking in tobacco industry enterprise. © 2014 WIT Press.

With the continuous and rapid development of computational science and data engineering related techniques, the transmission and protection of data are crucial in the computer science community. Cloud computing is becoming increasingly important for provision of services and storage of data in the Internet. Cloud computing as newly emergent computing environment offers dynamic flexible infrastructures and QoS guaranteed services in pay-as-you-go manner to the public. System virtualization technology providing a flexible and extensible system service is the foundation of cloud computing. How to provide the infrastructure for a self – management and independent cloud computing through virtualization has become one of the most important challenges. In this paper, using feedback control theory, we present VM-based architecture for adaptive management of virtualized resources in cloud computing and model an adaptive controller that dynamically adjusts multiple virtualized resources utilization to achieve application Service Level Objective (SLO) in cloud computing. Through evaluating the proposed methodology, it is shown that the model could allocate resources reasonably in response to the dynamically changing resource requirements of different applications which execute on different VMs in the virtual resource pool to achieve applications SLOs. Further optimization and n-depth discussion are also taken into consideration in the end. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

With the bursting and rapid development of computational science and ZigBee engineering related techniques, it is becoming capital research area. The network of wireless sensors which is to be considered in this research deals with fixed and mobile wireless sensors and treated with mesh and tree topologies. This paper takes up the effect of Acknowledgement technique to search for better throughput and end to end delay of wireless sensors network. The results show that the acknowledgement technique has different effects on the performance of the network depending on the type of topology and state of sensors (fixed or mobile). The usage of Acknowledgement gives better performance in terms of throughput and end to end delay for tree topology with mobile stations, and mesh topology with fixed stations. Further potential research topics are also discussed with case study and simulation. © 2015 IEEE.
