Research purposes: In this century, China's accelerated urbanization process has ushered in a new wave of construction of the city track traffic and the city regional railway as the rail transit of urban agglomerations or city circle. With the massive construction of the city regional railway, the main technical issues such as its track structure type selection and key design parameters become urgent to be studied. Research conclusions: (1)Bi-block ballastless track is recommended for city regional railway after a comprehensive comparison between ballasted track and ballastless track and between different ballastless track types. (2)The structure design and construction method of the end beam at the end of track slab are optimized on basis of early research, design, construction and operation experience of bi-block ballastless track applied in high-speed railway, so as to effectively control the concrete crack of continuous track slabs for subgrade and tunnel sections. Thus, bi-block ballastless track with unit track slabs is recommended for subgrade, bridge and tunnel sections of city regional railway. (3) Bi-block ballastless track structure has good reliability, maintainability and economy. (4)The research results can be applied in the rail design of city regional railway.

Research purposes: The urban rail transit is developing rapidly in our country. Its service function and technical requirements is between the subway and national railway, the selection of its system format is similar to AC power supply system of national railways and DC power supply system of subways. Through the analysis of main control factors affecting the Wenzhou district network system, reasonable choice is made for the Wenzhou network system. Research conclusions: (1)The selection of network system for urban rail transit should obtain the intention of the line network planning, and integrate with the features of the project. It is also beneficial for the operation and the administration and resources sharing. (2) In order to share resources, it can fulfill the organization of the operation of crossover line trains and the reduction of passengers transference in requires. In general, the same system should be applied in the whole city railway network in one city. (3) The amount of the investment of engineering should not be the determined factors for the system selection. (4) Based on the research, it is analyzed that AC (alternating current) power system best fits the rail transit in such city region network. (5) This article not only provides certain theoretical basis for urban railway related research, but also makes a reference for other cities.

Research purposes: In the progress of railway engineering geological survey, these issues exist that contain narrow artificial investigation range, great intensity labor, the slow pace of work, difficult to guarantee mapping quality. Remote sensing technique can significantly make up for the deficiency of the ground geological mapping, supplementary geological mapping and exploration arrangement. But in practical application, single method and limited visual interpretation precision cause remote sensing application not deep in late exploration stage, and need to further study on fine interpretation technique and detailed work program, to achieve the goals of accurately guide geological investigation and reduce the outdoor workload. Research conclusions: (1)Technology system of geological remote sensing consists of nine modules, which includes remote sensing image selection, multi-source data management, image interpretation, remote sensing assessment and integrated survey, formed a new model based remote sensing for railway geological survey. (2)With modern multi-scale remote sensing earth observation techniques and large-scale interpret technology, we can accurately obtain valid information of geological disasters, surface changes, labor activities, complements the regional geological data. (3)Technology system of geological remote sensing shows informatization, standardization and systematization characteristics, and forms industry technical standards and operating procedures. (4) The research results can be used in the railway line selection, engineering geological survey and exploration layout work.

Research purposes: The continuous input in infrastructure of China and the flourish of railway and highway development give rise to an increasing number of tunnels. However, due to the geology, construction, building materials and some other factors, cracks occur in tunnel lining, threatening the operation safety. Then it is necessary to take measures to treat the situation in order to ensure the safety and economy of engineering structure. Research conclusions: On the basis of the generation mechanism of lining concrete cracks, the following article gives an analysis of the crack stress condition and quantifies the disease rating, according to which different measures are adopted. These measures include crack repairing, lining anchor, sleeve lining and so on. The research findings show that the prevention of concrete cracks can be realized by the enhancement of geological survey and construction process, besides, the structure and operation safety can be guaranteed by appropriate treatments which are decided by the analysis of cracks condition and disease rating. The findings on one hand can be used to cure the tunnel lining cracks of existing railways and highways and on the other hand to prevent, control and treat the tunnel lining cracks of new railways and highways.

Research purposes: The selection of standard for urban-suburban railway determines directly the standard of project construction, its scale and overall investment, and in the meantime affects the sharing of resources in urban-suburban railway network. It is the most essential problem to be solved in project designing and construction. Based on the selection of standard in Wenzhou line S1, this paper provides references for future selection of urban-suburban railway standard. Research conclusions: (1)There are two options for urban-suburban railway standard: the national railway standard and the standard for urban railway transportation. (2)The selection of standard can be analyzed from different factors such as the compliance with the layout plan, characteristics of the project, transfer, operational cost, overall investment etc. (3)The national standard for railway is more suitable for Wenzhou urban-suburban railway. (4)It provides valuable references for other cities to select the most appropriate standard for its urban-suburban railway.

Research purposes: The coal gob area is the unfavorable geological factors affecting the railway alignment. It is very complicated and it plays an important part in the stability of railway engineering. When the railway passing through the coal gob, the evaluation is made on the influences of the railway engineering by the synthetic method of geological investigation and the protective coal pillar design of railway. It can give the reliable bases on identifying the safe borders and reinforcing the coal gob and can further meet the requirements of railway engineering subsidence control. Research conclusions: (1) Railway geological investigation of coal gob is based on the collected coal mining date. A detailed survey is carried out with geophysical survey and drilling. It can make each other verifying and complement. Then it can identify the border of coal gob. (2) According to the depth of exposing coal seam, the attitude of coal mine can be got by space geometry relation. (3) By the result of the synthetic method for geological investigation, the evaluation is made on the stability of raliway and the safe border of coal gob with the protective coal pillar design of railway. By goaf grouting reinforcement within the scope of security boundary, it can meet the requirements of railway subsidence control. (4) This paper can provide the guidance and reference to similar engineering geological investigation and evaluation on stability of coal gob area for railway in the future.

Considering the characteristics of operation and maintenance of high-speed railways, an option featuring a double seal and partition separation was adopted in the waterproofing design for the segment joint in the Shiziyang Tunnel on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hongkong high-speed railway. The key technical parameters of an elastic seal gasket and partition separation are analyzed in regard to waterproofing, and the requirements for joint staggering, joint opening, and groove repair during construction are addressed.

Research purposes: The city regional railway is gradually becoming an important rail transit mode from the downtown to the new city, with the characteristics of high speed, large traffic capacity and public transport. The relation between it and the national railway is becoming important increasingly. This paper, taking the Line S1 of the Wenzhou Regional Railway as an example, comprehensively analyzes some technical issues on the interconnection and interoperability between the city regional railway and the national railway so as to offer the basis for the decision-making on the current urban construction. Research conclusions: (1) The interconnection and interoperability between the city regional railway and the national railway can be convenient for the through passenger flow between the city regional railway and the national railway, but the traction mode, power supply system, signaling system and gauge of the city regional railway must be compatible with those of the national railway. (2) After the EMUs run on the national railway, it will produce the big impact on the traffic capacity of the city regional railway, resulting in the unsmooth transport organization and operation management of the city regional railway. The construction investment will increase because the gauge of the city regional railway has to meet the requirements of the national railway. So the Line S1 of the city regional railway should not be interconnected and interoperable with the national railway. (3) This paper provides the theoretical evidence for the construction of the regional railway and also provides the valuable reference to the study on the relation between urban rail transit and national railway.

Research purposes: The price margin coefficient of material is an important parameter for compiling the budget of railway engineering. However, it is difficult to control the project investment because the issuing time of the price margin coefficient often lags behind and the material price often fluctuates due to the market influence. In this paper, a new model is presented for forecasting the expected value of the price margin coefficient of the railway engineering for the purpose of effective control of the project investment. Research conclusions: (1) With the combination forecasting methods, the regression model for the price margin coefficient is built by using the curve fitting method and modified by using the residual series ARMA model and then the regression ARMA combination forecasting model is built to forecast the expected value of the price margin coefficient of railway project for effective control of the project investment. (2) The combination fitting model has good fittingness. By using this model, the material price margin coefficients from 2009 to 2011 were checked and the forecasting values were well fitting with the actual values. (3) The combination forecasting model presented in this paper is available for the investment estimate of the planned project, the investment evaluations of the medium and long term projects, the cost control of the undergoing project and the bidding price of contracting project.

An experimental study is performed to improve the high liquid limit soil to fill the roadbed of Yongan-Ninghua expressway. Firstly, some important factors influencing the experiment results are found out; and the corresponding countermeasures are established. Then a number of laboratorial experiments are carried out to obtain the optimal proportion of gravel for different high liquid limit soils. The study contributes to the rational use of high liquid limit soil and provides reference to the design and construction of similar engineering.
