The transformer reduces no-load loss, has a small no-load current, low noise and strong anti-short circuit capability, reduces the electrodynamic force generated by a sudden short circuit, and improves the short circuit tolerance capability of the transformer.

A rise in operational rail transit vehicles, accordingly, stimulates the purchase of rail transit vehicle air-conditioners. RMB5.389 billion was spent on buying rail transit vehicle air-conditioners in 2015, representing an increase of 5.6% from RMB5.105 billion in 2014. According to the Medium- and Long-term Railway Network Plan issued by the State Council, China will invest no less than RMB2.8 trillion to build over 23,000km new railways during 2016-2020, upsizing railway network to 150,000km (30,000km high-speed railway) and covering more than 80% of large cities by 2020. Moreover, major cities scales up their investment in urban rail transit, adding an estimated traffic mileage of 900km annually during 2016-2020, twice the new ones in 2015, thus contributing an upsurge in rail transit vehicles delivered to newly-opened lines. As existing lines find an increasing frequency of departures, urban rail transit vehicle industry chain is bound to enjoy a period of explosive growth over the next couple of years. Based on the monitoring data of subgrade frost heaving on Harbin-Dalian high speed railway and the analysis of the characteristics of frost heaving of ballastless track subgrade in severe cold regions, this paper put forward the features and characterization of waveform of frost heaving. Moreover, the paper established the calculation model for the transmission from subgrade frost heaving deformation to irregularity of CRTSI type slab track, to figure out and analyze the influence of subgrade frost heaving on track irregularity and structure of ballastless track. From the analysis, it can be concluded that when the wavelength of frost heaving induced subgrade arching deformation was less than 20 m, the irregularity wavelength transmitted to the surface of the ballastless track increased, and the track irregularity peak and frost heaving deformation peak were close. In this case, management standards for track irregularity can be used as the control standards for subgrade frost heaving. The wavelength of frost heaving induced subgrade arching deformation, if less than 40 m, had significant impacts on the gaps and loads of base plate and track slab. In this case, the frost heaving deformation wave length and peak value can be determined according to the gap control standards and damage characteristics of track slab and base plate. Combining these ideas with maintenance measures such as fastening adjustment and down slope treatment, the paper proposed the determination method for management standards for frost heaving of ballastless track subgrade in severe cold areas. © 2016, Editorial Office of Journal of the China Railway Society. A calculation model of subgrade deformation on ballastless track for high speed railway is proposed according to the fact that the post-construction settlement of high speed railway subgrade is mainly caused by foundation deformation as well as the bonding relationship between the track layers. Taking double-block ballastless track as an example, we construct the calculation model to simulate different scenarios which include the lower boundary is either the foundation surface or the subgrade surface and the track slab and bearing layer has a contact or a bonding interface. The calculation results obtained from ABAQUS software show that the model with foundation surface as the lower boundary and interlayer contact can reflect how the long-wave irregularity of track caused by subgrade deformation and the structural and mechanical characteristics of double-block ballastless track, while the model with subgrade surface as lower boundary and bonding interlayer interface, for the bearing layer has to withstand the enforced deformation load directly, prevents the ballastless track to accommodate subgrade deformation, resulting in gap between layers and over-expected tensile stress generated by the bearing layer, therefore fails to comply with the design idea of double-block ballastless track. The result further verifies the rationality and reliability of the proposed calculation model with interface between the subgrade and foundation as lower boundary and the assumption that there is interlayer contact rather than bonding between formation layers of the ballastless track. © 2016, Editorial Department of China Railway Science. Considering that gas bursts are very detrimental to tunnel construction, and using a railway tunnel with such a risk as an example, this paper discusses the failure mechanism and relevant prevention and control measures from the aspects of advance geological prediction, gas monitoring, construction ventilation and coal disclosing technology. Results show that; 1) gas burst-the result of multiple factors, including of the outburst of coal, rock, gas and stress field-is a complex dynamic phenomena, for which the elastic strain energy of the coal and rock and the internal energy of the gas are the bursting energies and the geostress mutation and construction disturbance are the incentives; 2) gas bursts are easily induced at the weak point or surface of the working face, especially during construction disturbances with poor prevention; 3) a comprehensive advance geological prediction system, dominated by advance horizontal drilling, deepened hole detection and gas measurement and various physical exploration methods, is an important means to prevent gas bursts; and 4) with the help of a safety standard management system, construction risks can be effectively avoided by adopting technical measures like gas emission, coal disclosing, construction ventilation and structural treatment. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology".
