The failure probability of tailings dam, evolution simulation of sand flow downstream of dam break, the loss of life, the life loss risk acceptable criteria of the tailings dam break, and the best safety investment to save lives were studied. The tailings dam slope failure function and the personal life acceptable risk criteria of tailings dam break were established. Taking a tailings dam as an example, a case study was carried out. The optimal safety investment for life saving was calculated to be 3.9 million RMB. Compared the standard of the United States with China's current industrial injury death compensation, it is suggested that the relevant departments of our country should improve the compensation standard for work-related injuries. © 2017, Editorial Department of Journal of Northeastern University. As the limitations of the ice loads research, the design code of the ice-resistant jacket-up structures is not based on the dynamic response analysis considering the dynamical ice force model. In order to build the reasonable ice-resistant conception design and safety assessment, the dynamic response analysis of the jack-up platform under the ice loads is essential. In this paper, the dynamics characteristics of the flexible ice-resistant structures is analyzed; and based on the model test for ice forces on the jack-up platform, the interaction form between the ice and the cylindrical leg with gear teeth will be determined; Finally, the ice-induced dynamic responses are computed under the typical ice conditions by taking a jack-up platform in Bohai Sea as an example. This study will provide reasonable reference for ice-resistant design and safety assessment under ice vibrations of the jack-up drilling platforms. ©, 2015, China Ship Scientific Research Center. A set of die-casting machine control system with S3C2440A core chip as hardware was designed, PCB electromagnetic compatibility was analyzed, and the entire monitoring system data show were achieved, which is the curve display, alarm, preservation of historical data and other applications functions of the program. Hardware and software platform was built, the whole system was assembled and tested. The experimental verification, the injection speed display function was achieved of large-scale die-casting machine injection real-time control system, the performance of motherboards, sensors, LCD are reliable, the parameters meet the design requirements.

In this paper, we obtain the detailed and precise data of the resistance performance in shallow water for the win-skeg buoy tender in the different shallow-water conditions by the numerical stimulation of the resistance characteristic with the assistance of the commercial software FLUENT. Otherwise, the above obtained data are used to compare with the experimental results of the corresponding model in the towing resistance experiment. FLUENT is indeed competent and reliable for the calculation of the ship resistance. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A nonlinear predictive control algorithm was proposed for multivariable die-casting processes of die-casting machine based on chaos adaptive differential evolution model. In the adaptive differential evolution model, the tent map was embedded to improve the process of production of crossed factors and compile factor in the DE model. The simulation results show that the injection control PID controller with the intelligence algorithm can optimize the die-casting machine injection velocity and make the nonlinear predictive control possess good dynamic characteristics and high control precision to achieve the system optimal control objective in the end.

This paper studies the overall elements of aircraft carrier at the stage of demonstration and preliminary design. Firstly, the estimation formula of the attributes is developed, which should be considered in preliminary design of ship. Secondly, the basic multi-objects optimize model is built up according to weighted vector obtained by lowest deviation method. Finally, optimization based on the simulated annealing algorithm is achieved. The computing system will find the most reasonable scheme of overall elements through the model after the designer determines the constraints of the principal dimensions and the number of carrier-based aircraft and the importance of each objects. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.

Based on the model of aircraft carrier "Kitty Hawk", a study on the influence of resistance performance and main elements was carried out. A designer will find out the elements effecting the aircraft carrier designing through its coefficient of Lω/Bω and block coefficient. With the change of coefficient of Lω/Bω and block coefficient improved by the law, the resistances were calculated. The objective of the optimization is to minimum resistance, optimal rapidity, also give a consideration to stability and seakeeping performance, optimizing the main dimensions with the restrictions of flight deck width. The speed of the optimal ship has increased from 32 kn to 35 kn. Compared with the parent ship, the main dimensions of optimal ship decreased while have performance improvement. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The research in the fundamental principle and iteration steps of the simulated annealing algorithm is carried out. It is brought in the scheme generation for the overall elements of the aircraft carrier design. Taking account of the stability, celerity, seakeeping, operational effectiveness and the cost of the aircraft carrier, the minimum objective function model is built up. Overall optimization of elements is achieved according to this model in FORTRAN language. The results show that the global optimal solution can be efficiently obtained by using simulated annealing algorithm, without any limitation of the initial points. After the optimization, the stability, celerity, seakeeping, operational effectiveness and the cost of the aircraft carrier are sufficiently improved.

This paper presents an improved model of multi-DGs microgrids for analysing system stability during grid-connections. The DGs-in the system are equipped with the Sandia frequency shift (SFS) scheme as an anti-islanding protection technique. By introducing a distribution network line length, SFS positive feedback gain and distributed power supply, power output parameters to improve the micro power grid mathematical model are established in three kinds of parameters and the relationship between micro power grid stability margin, to obtain stability of the system of power line length threshold, and stability of the distributed power dc output voltage threshold. This process allows the designers and engineers of renewable energy systems to optimize the system and ensure stability. Finally, in view of the several common simulation validations, this paper puts forward an improved model that can affect actual implementation of distributed micro power grid analysis, whereby the stability of the system parameters’ critical threshold may be deduced. Based on these case studies, system stability is shown to be very important to the stability of many distributed multi-DGs microgrids, which are useful for the design and implementation of new energy systems. © 2015, Strojarski Facultet. In the electric hydraulic servo control system during injection process of die casting machine, this paper presents a nonlinear-predictive-control method of die casting machine for multivariable injection process based on adaptive differential chaotic evolutional algorithm. The tent map is embedded into the adaptive differential evolution algorithm (DE), which has improved the generating process of DE algorithm for the crossover factor and compiling factor. The results of simulation experiment show that by using the intelligent algorithm to optimize injection parameters of die-casting PID controller, we can achieve fast optimization of die-casting machine injection speed and make the dynamic characteristics of nonlinear predictive control better, and the control precision more higher, so as to achieve the optimal-control purpose for the system.
