According to the finite element calculation procedure ANSYS, the research of the stability of stiffened steel tube with large diameter is carried out. The calculation results show that segment length and gravity have effect on the stability load of the segment. The length of the segment is longer; the stability bearing capacity is smaller, and more prone to instability. The greater the angle between the segment and the horizontal direction is, the greater effect of the gravity on the stability bearing capacity has. The calculation results also show that the arrangement of longitudinal-stiffeners in segments can effectively improve the stability of the segment. All the results can be used as reference section in construction. © 2016 IEEE.

The paper analyzes the renovation of old industrial districts combined with the creative industry in Guangdong, China, under the industrial structure transformation and urban renovation period, and puts forward the planning frame, which includes five basic principles, such as urban sustainability, protection and reconstruction, green ecology, combining with urban development, and interest balance. Then the evaluation system, control system, and target system are set up along with modes of renovation in order to attain unified planning and reasonable modes of renovation. Then it studies the specific requirements and methods of the different types of industrial renovation affected by the creative industry from planning layout and building reconstruction aspects, by the case studies in Guangdong. Finally the paper affords the specific suggestions after the relative existing problems on the renovation are put forward, which could be used as a reference in other such cases. © 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

The stepped overloaded plants were needed to be built on a landslide slope for a tungsten mine. Four rows of anti-slide piles were proposed for the treatment of sliding mass as well as the foundation of intra-plant step retaining wall and plants. In this case, the dual function of load-bearing and anti-slide could be utilized for the load-bearing and anti-slide piles. The optimization design and treatment methods for landslide under stepped overloaded plants were presented. Based on the transmit-coefficient method, an approach of resistance distribution of multi-row load-bearing and anti-slide pile was proposed considering the upper plant loads. With this method, the distributions of multi-row piles at the tungsten ore plant were calculated, and then the optimized design of load-bearing and anti-slide piles were conducted. Finally, with the long-term monitoring data of the landslide and the calculation results from finite element method, the rationality of the proposed method for the resistance distribution of multi-row pile was validated, and the applicability of the optimized design method for landslide treatment was verified. According to the inadequacies of resistance distribution of multi-row load-bearing and anti-slide pile in the current specifications, corresponding supplementary suggestions were proposed in this paper. © 2016, Science Press. A new transformer fault diagnosis method based on reconstruction-based contribution (RBC) and grey relation entropy is proposed. After establishing the principal component analysis (PCA) model of dissolved gas-in-oil, based on the idea of fault reconstruction, the proposed method extracts the feature information of dissolved gas in oil through calculating RBCs and normalization. In order to overcome the shortcomings of original grey relation analysis, such as partial relation and information losing, the proposed method adopts grey relation entropy to carry out transformer fault diagnosis. Experimental results show that the proposed method has very good fault distinguishing ability and enhances fault diagnosis accuracy.

Aiming at the problem that the input variable selection result is influenced by noise in the dissolved gas concentration prediction in transformer oil, a new prediction method of dissolved gas concentration in transformer oil based on improved normalized mutual information feature selection (INMIFS) and support vector regression machine is proposed. Firstly, the variables of the dissolved gas in transformer oil are reconstructed in the phase reconstruction space; and the independent component analysis is adopted to separate the signal from noise. Secondly, INMIFS method is proposed to select the input variables and reduce the influence of noise on mutual information variable selection; At last, the support vector regression machine is adopted as the predictor to forecast the dissolved gas concentration in transformer oil. Experiment results show that the improved normalized mutual information input variable selection results are consistent with the study results of mineral oil inferior thermal dynamics, and the proposed prediction method has good prediction accuracy and generalization ability.

In the flashing smelting process of modern copper smelter, high grade molten copper matte is granulated by high pressure water jets. After a preliminary dewatering, wet copper matte with 4-6 % of water must be treated by the following 3 steps before flashing converting: (1) Grinding and drying; (2) Negative pressure conveying; (3) Positive pressure conveying (density conveying), which is the traditional process of the copper matte conveying system and widely applied in industry. Compared with similar smelters in the world nowadays, positive pressure conveying system is cancelled in this improvement, and hot gas is recycled. Investing and operating costs will be reduced significantly. This new technology has the advantages of simple process, easy operation and saving energy.

Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Co., Ltd (JJNI hereafter) is one of the first plants in the world using Ausmelt TSL Nickel sulphide concentrate smelting technology. Although TSL furnace have been used to handle concentrate of different type metals, including copper, lead, tin and precious metals, but no existing of nickel concentrate TSL smelter before the operation of JJNI. As the characteristic of nickel concentrate and its smelting requirements are different with other metals, the engineers made many innovations in this project, such as improve the raw material handling ability to avoid build-ups and corrosion, new furnace cooling system, new tap-hole arrangement, new measures to stabilize the offgas system, etc. This plant starts its operation at the end of 2009, and reaches its design feedrate after almost one year of trial production. This paper introduces in details the innovations made in the project, represents and analyses the problems occurred in the plant start-up period and operations afterwards, also describes the technical measures to solve those problems.

In order to fully get the hidden fault feature information in the dissolved gas analysis (DGA) data, a new method of the transformer fault diagnosis based on relative reconstruction-based contribution (rRBC) is proposed. The reconstruction-based contribution (RBC) of variables are calculated based on the idea of fault reconstruction after establishing a principal component analysis (PCA) model of dissolved gas-in-oil. Then, considering the RBCs' comparability of each variable, the feature information of oil dissolved gas is extracted by calculating the relative RBCs and normalization. Finally, a hierarchical structure of transformer fault diagnosis model is built up, and due to the high information utilizing rate of the grey relation entropy (GRE), the synthesis GRE incidence order of the diagnosing pattern with standard patterns is computed to realize the fault analysis. The experimental results show that, compared with the features extracted by RBC-GRE and GRE, the proposed rRBC method increases the separability of data set and the classification accuracy.
