This paper introduced ten key technology problems and relevant challenges that the power system will face in the future, which are proposed in the 2016 international conference on power grid (CIGRE). Combining with the specific issues of the power distribution system and distributed generation technology committee (SC6), the latest development of distribution system and distributed generation were analyzed from the aspects of integrated planning and operation of distribution network upgrade, energy infrastructure of urban power grid, and micro-net and off-grid hybrid power system. Lastly, prospects and suggestions for the development of distribution system and distributed generation in China have been proposed. © 2017 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.

With the increasingly opening in electricity market, the maturing of distributed generation (DG) technology and the proposing and completing of related policies and regulations, regional energy supplier is stimulated to build distributed generation. This paper proposes a bi-level programming model of active distribution network considering the benefit of regional energy supplier. The maximization of comprehensive benefit of regional energy supplier is taken as the objective of upper level, and the lower level is optimized for each scene, which considered the uncertainties of distributed generation output and load, as well as four active management measures including regulating reactive power compensation capacity, curtailing the output power of DG, regulating the on-load tap changer and demand-side management. A hybrid strategy combining harmony search strategy and particle swarm optimization is proposed to solve the model. The model and algorithm is tested with IEEE-33 node system. The simulation results show that the model and algorithm in this paper can increase the capacity of DG and comprehensive benefit of regional energy supplier. © 2017, Power System Technology Press. To evaluate the reliability of distribution network containing microgrids such as distributed generations (DGs) and energy storage system, at first the stochastic characteristics of power output of photovoltaic generation and wind power generation are researched, and a reliability model of hybrid generation system consisting of distributed generation and energy storage system is built. On this basis and based on Monte Carlo simulation a reliability evaluation algorithm for distribution network containing microgrids is proposed. Finally, the reliability of modified IEEE DRTS Bus 4 is evaluated by the built model and the proposed algorithm. Evaluation results show that microgrids can effectively improve power supply reliability of distribution system.

A comprehensive benefit assessment model for microgrid from the perspective of the entire society, taking the regular large coal power generation as reference object, was proposed and the cost benefit of microgrid was analyzed in this paper. Case study on distributed generations and microgrid test system shows that when taking account of the comprehensive benefit of fossil energy saving, pollution decrease and transmission system investment saving, microgrid can be economical in spite of its considerable constructive spending. Reliability requirement of local load and microgrid location have a significant impact on the reasonability of investment on microgrid. For improving power supply reliability, or solving power supply problem for remote districts or city centers with high spending of power system extension, microgrid is of great application value. © 2011 Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.

The orderly grid-integration of solar and other clean energy, the orderly charging of electric vehicle (EV), the implementation of synthetical management of various information related to power supply and consumption and service, the enhancement of power supply and service ability for residential community and improvement of power supply reliability are key objectives to be researched for smart residential community (SRC). On the basis of analyzing present situation of SRC and by means of synthetically utilizing advanced technologies of smart grid, the connotation and features of SRC are clarified; the business flow and information flow in SRC are analyzed and a flexible and interactive architecture of SRC is proposed, meanwhile the business functions and corresponding configuration are designed; a key technical structure for SRC is given and the integrated communication in SRC, interactive service, distribution automation of SRC, operation control of distributed generation and smart house are researched to support the development of key devices for SRC.

This present inversion relates to a detection system and detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier. The system includes a power frequency carrier signal generating device near the terminal power distribution substation, a power frequency carrier signal detection device in distributed power grid; the power frequency carrier signal generating device is connected to the substation bus through a signal coupling transformer; the power frequency carrier signal generating device is connected with signal coupling transformer though phase A, B C live wires and the N middle wire, that results in the signal can be send by anyone signal phase, any two phases parallel way or three phases parallel way. The power frequency carrier signal detection device is connected with the low voltage power network though phase A, B and C live wires and the N middle wire. The system of distributed generation islanding detection based on power frequency carrier has low cost of implementation advantage and the test methods to meet the requirements of relevant standards. The present invention provides an effective method for islanding signal detection of distributed generation and micro-grid signal, anti-islanding protection. There is very high technical and economic performance applying the distribution network under high permeability condition.

A detection system of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier, which is characterized in that: the system includes power frequency carrier signal generating device ( 1), power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2), signal coupling transformer ( 3), substation bus ( 4), distribution power generator (DG) ( 5) and safety isolation breaker ( 6), said power frequency carrier signal generating device contains the voltage and current monitor circuit, aid power frequency carrier signal generating device ( 1) is connected with said signal coupling transformer ( 3) through four three phase four line power cables, aid signal coupling transformer ( 3) is connected with substation bus ( 4) through 3 power cables, substation bus ( 4) is connected with 10 kV/400V substation and the safety isolation breaker ( 6) through feeder, the power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2) is installed between the safety isolation breaker ( 6) and the DG ( 5), the power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2) is connected with the lower voltage power network though phase A, B and C live wires and the N middle wire, or through one of the phase A, B and C live wires and the N middle wire to detect signal, the power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2) contains signal hardware synthesis circuit, the power frequency carrier signal generating device ( 1) sends one signal at a frequency cycle, if the power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2) didnt detect signal within five continue frequency cycles, the connection between substation bus ( 4) and the DG ( 5) will be breaked off, the power frequency carrier signal detection device ( 2) sends immediately tripping signal to safety isolation breaker ( 6) triple, and ensure the DG ( 5) isolate from the major network.

A detection system of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 2, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal generating device is connected with said signal coupling transformer though phase A, B, C live wires and the N middle wire, or through one of the phase A, B and C live wires and the N middle wire.

A detection system of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 3, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal detection device contains hardware signal synthesis circuit, and the hardware signal synthesis circuit includes 3 voltage transformers: the first voltage transformer ( 41), the second voltage transformer ( 42) and the third voltage transformer ( 43) complete the signal strength transformation, and the transformation ratio of the first and the second voltage transformer are same, and transformation ratio of the third voltage transformer is 1.732 times of the first voltage transformer.

5. A detection system of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 4, which is characterized in that: the high voltage side of the signal coupling transformer ( 3) that is 10 kV side which is connected with the substation bus through 3 high-voltage fuses ( 21, 22, 23), the low voltage side of the signal coupling transformer ( 3) that is 400V side is connected with the power frequency carrier signal generating device through 3 molded case circuit breakers ( 24, 25, 26), the power frequency carrier signal generating device exchanges information with the remote control system through communication interface ( 27).

6. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 1, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal is sent by said power frequency carrier signal generating device and coupled to the substation bus by the signal coupling transformer, the signal is transformed though medium power network, distribution transformer and low voltage power network, to monitor the power frequency carrier signal by the real-time monitoring of power carrier signal detection device installed in the distributed generation.

7. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 6, which is characterized in that: it uses self-monitor transmit power method to control the peak of the transmit current of power frequency carrier signal greater than 300 A and less than 600 A.

8. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 7, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal generating device sends the carrier signal to substation bus by the signal coupling transformer, the capacity of the signal coupling transformer is from 200 kVA to 600 kVA, and the signal detection period is 40 ms, and the effective range of the signal is 6 ms.

9. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 8, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal detection device is installed the distribution generating side of the safety isolation breaker, the signal detection period is 40 ms of the signal detection device, if it didnt detect signal within 200 ms continuously, the safety isolation breaker will send tripping signal.

10. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 9, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal generating device monitors transmission signal voltage and current, and adjust transmission power itself to ensure the driving signal point being less 30 electrical degrees before crossing zero from positive to negative of the voltage of power frequency, that is 3.33 ms.

11. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 10, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal detection device contains hardware synthesis circuit; the circuit adopts RC full bridge all-pass filter circuit, there is no effective frequency loss of the signal, and it strengthen the signal receiving energy double.

12. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 11, which is characterized in that: the power frequency carrier signal detection device makes the safety isolation breaker trip by outputting tripping signal; when the tripping signal line is shorter, less than 10 m, it can adopt plus output, and when longer than 10 m it will adopt bus communication.

13. A detection method of distributed generation islanding based on power frequency carrier said according to claim 12, which is characterized in that: the distribution generation includes photovoltaic power, small wind power and energy storage power generation.

To construct a supervisory control platform for microgrid in laboratory, the constitution, functions, tasks and working flow of an energy management system are proposed and the mathematical modeling of economic dispatching and optimal operation of the energy management system are described in detail. In allusion to the operation control of microgrid in the laboratory, a control strategy, in which the central controller is combined with local controllers, is put forward and the correctness of this control strategy is verified by the microgrid simulation model in the laboratory. Simulation results show that the proposed control strategy can implement optimal management, coordinative control and seamless switching of microgrid.

The technologies related with micro-grid, including power electronic technology, the interaction between micro-grid and distribution grid, active and passive management on power quality and the entry point of simulation platform were overviewed. The group control technology of micro-grid and related power quality detection and control strategies were also summarized. In order to achieve efficiency, security and sustainability of energy utilization, mainly energy sharing over a wide area and connection of large-scale distributed generation (DG) have to be solved in future distribution network (DN). Thus an optimization model of energy lines planning is built on the principles of optimal energy distribution and investment economy first. And a methodology of establishing the double-layer structure of energy lines is also proposed. Then based on a two-dimensional multi-resolution model of DN with the interconnection of DG, an analysis and calculating method of the maximum allowable capacity of DG considering voltage limits, grid losses and thermal constraints is presented. Finally, simulations are performed on a typical system, and the actual capacity of DG integration for DN with the double-layer structure of energy lines is analyzed as well. It is shown that, compared with traditional network structure, energy resources can not only be locally balanced, but also optimally dispatched and shared over a wide area by the double-layer structure of energy lines. Therefore, the maximum allowable capacity of DG can be increased further. © 2016, Automation of Electric Power Systems Press.

Under the enormous challenges of global energy conservation, emission reduction and energy security, the development of renewable energy becomes an important way for promoting economic transition in post-crisis era and developing low carbon economy. The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) [2013] No.1638 issued makes numerous photovoltaic enterprises see the starting signs of the domestic market. First of all, the main operation modes of photovoltaic (PV) power generation in China were analysed and the life cycle cost-benefit calculation process, method and model of PV power generation were put forward in the paper. Then two kinds of grid-connected scenarios of PV power generation were analyzed. Finally took operation modes and government subsidies into consideration comprehensively, cost benefit evaluation on a real case was done. The results indicate that the benefit electricity price subsidies are better than that of construction subsidies. This research helps to resolve effectively economic issues of distributed grid-connected photovoltaic power generation, providing theoretical basis for the development of PV operation and management modes and related policies. © 2013 Chin.
