By means of statistics and optimization, the author investigated the results of sixteen weightlifters in snatch lift, the clean and jerk lift, and other ten different lift executions indexes., then analyzed the relation between snatch, the clean and jerk, the total result, and ten indexes, the study draws the following outcomes: (a) all ten indexes are internal consistency in assessment of the result of snatch, the clean and jerk, and the total result, (b) the result of power snatch, snatch pull, wide grip dead lift, front squat, and push press can be used to assess the result of snatch, (c) power clean, clean pull, narrow grip dead lift, and push press can be used to assess the clean and jerk, and (d) snatch pull, clean pull, front squat, and push press assess the total result. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Nanocellulose and thermoplastic starch polymer (TSP) composite was prepared by solution casting method for the sports industry. As a biological material, this material had special properties of nanomaterials and the rigidity of cellulose, dimensional stability and biodegradable. Such material might be one of the answers to the disposal problem of waste sports equipments. As a reinforcing material, nanocellulose was added to TSP matrix and composites were made with appropriate solvent systems by solution casting methods. Water absorption, degradation and film mechanical performance were evaluated and compared with the pure thermoplastic starch. The tensile strength and modulus of the nanocomposite films reveled significantly enhanced. Compared to the pure thermoplastic starch, the degradation and water absorption increased significantly. By solution casting, nanocellulose and starch composites were successfully prepared, which had excellent mechanical properties and good performance at biological degradation. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

Using biomechanics theory to reveal the reaction force of ground of support leg in instep shot in different heights in soccer players. Twelve healthy male college students voluntarily participated in this study. After testing each participant by Kistler force plate and then analyze the collected data, the present study draws the following findings that (1) The reaction force of ground on support leg was independent of the ball velocity,(2) The principal function of support leg was in charge of fixing support, maintaining balance for optimal kicking ball of kicking leg. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

By means of 3D motion video analysis method and kinematic theory, the current study compared the kinematic parameters characteristic between senior and junior weightlifters. Six male weightlifters participated in this study. After analyzing the captured images, the study draws the conclusions as follows: (a) the distance of COG between body and barbell of the senior weightlifters is shorter than that of the junior weightlifters, (b) the senior weightlifters have the better ability to maintain the COG of body and barbell within supporting surface during the turnover under the barbell to the rising from the squat position. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

This study aims to investigate the hydro- and aerodynamic characteristics of arrows as understood within the field of archery and to contribute to theoretical knowledge, upon which archery techniques are based. The water tunnel and wind tunnel are used to test different arrows consisting of four famous brands.The results showed that when the angles of attack from -6°to 6°, the arrow remained in the state of attached flow. Arrows that had spiral plastic fletches demonstrated better states of flow than arrows with straight fletches. Within the range of the experimental angles of attack, the coefficients of lift increased, while the coefficients of pitching moment decreased when the angle of attack increased. The arrows showed static stability in the longitudinal direction. Arrow fetches also demonstrated considerable influence on the lift and pitching moment. The rolling of the arrows caused the change of the coefficient of lift. Based on the results, it can be concluded that arrow fetches are the major contributors to the arrows' flight stability. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

CON-TREX biomechanical test system was employed in the analysis of flexors and extensors in shoulder joint of throwing arm in women's water polo players. The findings of this study indicated that (a) the peak torque and relative peak torque of extensors are greater than that of flexors, (b) the ratio of flexors to extensors of peak torque is approximately 0.8, (c) the power among water polo players in different levels is similar, however the strength endurance is significant difference, the performance of the strength endurance of the provincial team's players is poorer than that of the national team's players. The author submitted some proposals that the provincial team's players should increase their strength endurance training. © 2014 WIT Press.

720°spin kick followed by horse stance is among one of the high difficulty movements of C level in the southern fist in martial art, it was formed on the basis of 360°tornado kick, because of its complex technical details and action links, it values a lot in the competition. The possibility of athletes who can successfully complete the action during training and competition is rather low. Modern three-dimension picture analysis will become the main method on technique diagnosis of kinematics parameter at game site. We took up Fukui Li's 720°spin kick followed by horse stance in 2012 National Nanquan competition and also made three-dimension analysis on it. The aim of the paper is to get the kinematics parameters and then summarize his skill features, explore its internal kinematic characteristics and laws thus to provide some scientific basis for martial arts training. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In the scheme of multicarrier Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) system, the main-carrier and other subcarriers use the same midamble Code and Scrambling Code. Because of the synchronization characteristics of TD-SCDMA, it will lead to large Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) at the part of midamble code, when we add the subcarriers. High PAPR makes system very sensitive to nonlinear distortion such as power amplifier (PA). In order to avoid nonlinear distortion, linear PA which has wide dynamic range is needed but such PA is inefficient. This paper gives the phase rotation method for reducing the PAPR of multicarrier TD-SCDMA signal, in order to decrease the influence of multicarrier overlap to the greatest extent. © 2014 WIT Press.
